The perfect family car - 1998 Cadillac Deville
By Tracy Telle - January 27 - 10:02 pmI wanted a family car with a powerful engine. I had already done the SUV thing and was not about to drive a minivan. Well, after owning my 1998 Cadillac DeVille for 6 and 1/2 years I still love it. I did add a Chevrolet Corvette to the garage though, just for a little more fun! The Cadillac is super and I highly recommend it. The car still looks and runs like it came off the showroom floor!

2005 Cadillac Deville - 2005 Cadillac Deville
By FRED - January 15 - 7:05 pmI am disappointed that the seat belt height control was eliminated in the Cadillac Deville. The base stereo system is not of good quality. I have recieved much better reception on radios with telescoping antenas. GM keeps eliminating nice features, but raising the price.

Almost Perfect Deville - 2004 Cadillac Deville
By Texas Cadillac - January 13 - 6:11 pmThis is my third Cadillac DeVille. Its features are better than my 1997 models. This one has more front tire vibration though. My dealer has gone out of their way to try and solve this problem. Cadillac says the engine, transmission and wheels/tires are within specifications. Do other owners experience abnormal front tire vibration?

Great during warranty period - 1998 Cadillac Deville
By Dave - January 11 - 2:59 pmMy 1998 Cadillac DeVille has a powerful motor and a quiet, comfortable ride. It provided great performance and reliabillity during the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty period. Mechanically it seems to fall on its face after that. This vehicle received fantastic new car ratings, but seems to lose its resale value rapidly, now we know why. If you want long term reliabillity, buy a Honda.

Electronic Lemons - 2001 Cadillac Deville
By tom - December 28 - 6:08 pmIve put almost 100,000 highway miles on my 2001 Cadillac Deville and while it rides very well and is a good highway car, it is very unreliable. Yesterday for the umpteenth time I bought $2,000 worth of electronic sensor repairs. Ive spent almost $10,000 in cash in the last 18 months making repairs including a complete new air conditioning system and a new exhaust system (do to a failed catalytic converter). My 35 years as a GM man are over. Im going to buy Japanese.

Excellant Starter car - 1991 Cadillac Deville
By Cadillac Jack - December 27 - 12:04 pmMy 1991 Cadillac DeVille is the second car I ever purchased. After a nightmareish year with a 1992 Ford Escort LXE, I absolutely fell in love with this car. This was the first car I seriously looked at and eventually bought when I started looking again. Its comfortable, fast, and most of all, its reliable. It is a very good car, especially for those of you who are looking for a good starter vehicle for little money.

Great Car - 1997 Cadillac Deville
By trevman - December 27 - 1:13 amThe 1997 Cadillac DeVille is a great car. I have had four Cadillac DeVilles to date and I have loved them all. They are extremely comfortable and look very elegant. The pearl red with the tan top has always been my favorite color combo!

Great car - 2000 Cadillac Deville
By freddy - December 25 - 3:27 pmPurchased my 2000 Cadillac DeVille with 2,000 miles on it. I had a Lincoln Town Car. The DeVille handles better and has better acceleration. It gets good gas mileage. the sun visor too low for tall people though. GMs engineers have changed this for 2001. I have not experienced any major problems with this car. The check engine light came on once. It was repaired with no problems at the dealer. The Cadillac DeVeille comes witrh a good warranty. The Northstar engine usees minimal oil every 2,000 - 3,000 miles. Just add a quart and keep driving. the front windshield had an airleak which made noise, but this was repaired by my dealer at 3,000 miles and is now OK. This cars windshield is known to be poorly sealed at factory.

Great car! - 1990 Cadillac Deville
By Swami - December 24 - 12:42 amI love my 1990 Cadillac DeVille in just about every way. I bought it in 2002 with 55,000 miles on it, and have had little or no trouble with it, until recently. I put a third new battery in it yesterday...the third one in eleven months. Ive taken it to two different mechanics, and they cant explain why the batteries are going bad on me. Since I have two small children, I may have to sell it since I need something reliable. I love the car in every way, with the exception of the recent reliability problems.
