  • My Caddy - 1999 Cadillac Deville

I bought the Std version. I got fed up because the dealer either made a mistake or scammed me telling me its a Concours (not an official GM/Cadillac dealer), but a Caddy is a Caddy and it is a dream.I bought it for $6900 CANADIAN (at the time i bought it it was worth 10,000 US). On my first drive from the dealership I had to go on the hectic and jammed 401 on a snowy november night, and it felt like I was driving in my neibourhood on a sunny day in may. I was amazed by the performance. I mainly drive on highways and at one time it gave me 28 miles to the gallon, thats pretty impressive for a 4-ton Cadillac running on a 4 and a half liter Northstar engine.

This is my wifes car. She loves her 90, the way it looks, handles, parks, and rides. When the cruise control quit I thought she would simply die. Otherwise, it has been trouble free. It now had 123,000 miles with no major repairs other than brakes and struts. s

  • Very nice - 2005 Cadillac Deville

Nice car for the price. It is a large sedan and handles well for that category. Nice ride and features. Surprised that stabilitrak is not standard on the so called DHS. Plastic pieces seem rather cheaply manufactured. But overall still very much like this vehicle and would certainly buy again.

  • Great car - 1993 Cadillac Deville

Second owner. Had 16,000 miles when bought. Has driven beautifully. Very few problems and a comfort to drive long distances. Usually noticed as Wow! One of a kind for years on it. Saw it on the lot and was love at first sight, still is.

I loved this car. Luxury, good mileage 19-21 mpg. Excellent ride. Im not a kid, and Im not in a hurry, Im into comfort. We live 20 miles in a rural setting in California. We drive a lot. I also have a Prius for my sales job, 45 plus mpg, 40,000 a year, but when we go out, we always take the DeVille.

  • Solid Caddy - 2000 Cadillac Deville

My wife bought this car new and currently has 99,000+ miles on it. Its had a full brake job, tires, normal stuff. Gets 25 mpg in everyday driving, outstanding! Nice big safe roomy automobile. Minus, you never have to wory about an oil change, it does this itself, just change filter. Dealer said normal for 2-3 quarts every 3000 miles. An aluminum engine you know. GM must fix this problem before well consider another Caddy.

  • All was well, when it rained, it poured - 1999 Cadillac Deville

Got the car as a gift from my parents, so mind you, you dont look a free car in the mouth. For a year and a half, it was reliable as an anvil. Went about its daily routine quietly and stately. Excellent highway vehicle and without air-conditioning on at a constant 65 miles per hour, the car got 27 mpg consistently. Comfortable seats, lots of leg room. Northstar V- 8 was the strong, silent type and I got used to it consuming about a quart of oil every 1000 miles pretty much all northstars do the same. Then 2 weeks ago, all hell broke loose. Had to replace the entire air-conditioning system and alternator went 5 days apart, ouch! Traded it for a Honda. RIP Caddy!

  • This car is junk - 1999 Cadillac Deville

This car has been nothing but problems. Odometer now reads 94K. Replaced AC system, radiator, thermostat, hoses, coolant reservoir. The fan for the heat and A/C has a mind of its own and usually decides not to operate. The drivers seat cushioning and leather surface has failed, needed complete seat re-conditioning. One quart of oil every 1000 miles. GM should be embarassed about the quality of fit and finsih on the car interior. The carraige roof rattles above 65 mph. The antenna motor has failed. Must carry replacement bulbs. I strongly advise anyone considering this car to proceed with caution. There is nothing about this car that would encourage me to consider purchasing a General Motors car ever again.

  • Exceptional Vehicle - 2004 Cadillac Deville

This is the third Cadillac that I have owned and it is by far the best. I bought this car just prior to retirement as I planned to travel. I am so glad I did, it gives a comfortable ride and drive. I am handicapped and this vehicle lessens the difficulty of the trip. The lack of fuel efficiency is more than compensated for by the ride and superiority of the vehicle. I love this car.
