Beautiful but disappointing - 1999 Cadillac Deville
By jay657 - September 28 - 9:20 pmNo doubt this Deville is gorgeous, fast and comfortable, but it would have been better if it was RWD. It is absolutely horrible for winter driving. It turns sideways when brakes are applied on snow cover roads. I cant figure out why it guzzles so much oil. The eternal "service engine soon" light is annoying. There is constantly some part that needs to be replace to make the engine light go out for a few weeks, then its right back on again. Im sorry to say it, but I have a love/ hate relationship with this car.

Love the road - 2002 Cadillac Deville
By livlyfwell1 - September 23 - 9:13 pmThe Cadillac DTS is a dependable car that is strong enough to caress any type of weather. There are enough sensors or more than enough to make you aware of whats going on with your car. I am satisfied enough to purchase the next one.

All beauty and nothing else - 1999 Cadillac Deville
By jay657 - September 15 - 11:02 pmThere is no doubt this car is beautiful, comfortable and can blow the doors of most other cars, but it is the most unreliable car I have ever owned. The eternal "service Engine Soon" light is annoying. It constantly needs sensors and things to be replaced only to have engine light come back on in a month or 2. I also dont understand how a modern car today can burn up so much oil. What does it do with it? It also is absoultly terrible for winter driving. Step on the brakes on a snow covered road and it turns sideways every time. The traction control on a FWD is useless. Trading in for an 05 Grand Marquis. Had a 94 Town Car previously never had any major problems in 6 yrs.

Premier Car of the GM Fleet? - 2003 Cadillac Deville
By Concerned - September 12 - 3:52 pmWhats the rest of the fleet like? Power train good (so far) but stupid stuff - like mechanical mechanism for passenger window replaced at 45000 miles, wheel bearings replaced at 48000 miles, brake sensors corroded and replaced 46000 - all out of warranty, of course. Trunk developed leak at 43000. I buy one owner-off lease vehicles with about 25000 miles on them. Drove Lincoln Continentals for 10 years, bought extended warranties - never once used them - cars each died after 175000 miles. This car would cost a mint to drive 175000 miles. Very disappointing for quality and reliability. Cadillac, youve got a long way to go to be perceived as a quality vehicle.

Great rider - 1995 Cadillac Deville
By Very little problems - September 10 - 8:46 pmI bought this car almost 10 years ago used and I am very happy with the service life of this model car. This car is solid throughout. It looked great back then and it still does today. The finish on the car is still lustrous. The interior is also holding up. No crumbling of any kind like the Cadillacs of the past just normal wear and tear.

98 Cadillac performance and comfort - 1998 Cadillac Deville
By RALPH MANGUM - September 3 - 6:58 pmWe use the car for long road trips, we enjoy the comfort, and space for luggage. Gas mileage is superb when you drive at or near the speed limit. We have had very little repairs to make to this car. An alternator once but nothing else except one set of tires and normal service., every 3k miles.

I love this car - 1992 Cadillac Deville
By Mariar56 - August 17 - 11:45 amThis car, like all high gm cars is a real workhorse. I replaced the original Delco battery in 02, three years past its end date, [the only time it wouldnt start], and other than some loser trying to steal the car, which screwed up the security, Ive never had it not start! I love a comfortable, pretty car. I despise those boxy mono cars that started proliferating in the early 80s. Sadly they became all the rage. I have to say wake up Detroit. We want nice looking cars. Certainly we dont want all these clones. I dont want it to be the 50s, [I love my traction control, esc, fwd, etc.], but in the 50s you could tell a Ford from a Chevy, you couldve been blind and would know if a

Maintenance nightmare - 2001 Cadillac Deville
By Dan - August 5 - 1:54 pmThis is my 3rd new Cadillac and although I love it, it is not a quality car. It will use a quart of oil every 1500 miles. I have replaced steering rack, steering shaft, left and right hub, water pump, motor mount, water pump cover, lower crank case sensor, all 4 rotors.

The limousine of Caddies. - 1990 Cadillac Deville
By j sedman - August 1 - 11:33 amI bought this car from a " little old lady " after 4 years and 40,100 miles. I now have 218,000 miles on it and will drive it sparingly along with my 2002 DeVille. The car has flown way above any expectations that I could have possibly dreamed it would do. Reliability, design, performance, you name it....all have been tremendous. Some one mentioned the vinyl armrests- its true. They started to crack a few years ago. The only downer , and a mild one, of an otherwise superb model. The best car Ive ever owned and a true testament to the quality of Cadillac. I hope my "other" Caddy comes close to the same standards of the old 90.
