  Bought vehicle used, so far only one trouble with coolant leak.Rides good for small car and low profile tires.Has great pickup in traffic and is fun to drive.

  I bought this car for several factors including I must say the 0% interest and the deals that were to be found due to the fac that this car was discontinued. I have had no major problems over the first 7000 miles and it is truly fun to drive. It could use a little more off the line acceleration but it is truly the "Caddy that Ziggs". I would reccommend testing one for your self if you can still find them. Especially the Sport model. The larger wheels and stiffer suspension makes this car long for the open road.

  This car is fantasic! The fit, touch and feel of a BMW 5-series (I traded in a 318 Convertible for it) at 60% of the price! A very comfortable back seat. Great handling, better than a 50-series, incredible 6500 rpm engine with standard 3.90 rear end. I used to drive an Omega in Europe with a 5 speed transmission, this is better.

  Cateras are underrated - 1997 Cadillac Catera

  I bought this car used from a private party. It had been in two hard wrecks-one at 7500 mi. and another at 14,900 mi. Idiots with improper equipment tried to fix car after first wreck. After second wreck, they thankfully did not try to "fix" it again. The body shop I ended up choosing to do the restoration did a wonderful job. We had to undo much of the so-called repairs that idiots did to the car after the first wreck. I used all Cadillac parts in restoration. My point is: after all this car has been through, it must be a really solid vehicle to have turned out so well. Well, my wife has latched on to it and drives it all the time. I guess well keep it.

  THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CAR FOR THE PRICE (USED), THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR QUALITY IS "BEST". LOVE TO DRIVE IT, FAST.

  this is a worst buy! - 1998 Cadillac Catera

  I am sorry to say, but the Cadillac Catera lacks on everything. The only thing that cadillac brings to the table with this car is a good sound system. The bose stereo I apreciate but everything else is wack. The city streets for this car is a killer. After having the car for a year and over 11,000 miles that i put on it things start to change. Catera. This is a worst buy. To tell you the truth, everything. Dont buy!!

  Cateras Suck - 2000 Cadillac Catera

  Dont buy this car, it sucks. Its really a horrible shame. The car is a great size, has good styling, but ours has been in the shop more than its been out. You name the part, its been replaced atleast once--thank god for the warranty. I would NEVER get a Cadillac again.

  Dont waste your time and money purchasing a 1997 Catera. I bought one new and have had nothing but trouble--engine trouble and even trouble with the doors. You dont have time to read the list of problems this car has had. What a colossal waste of $33,000!!!

  What a checkered past this car has had. GM has been forced to give them away-mine was a little over $10,000 off list. So any problems pale in comparison. Its a real joy to drive-really pleasantly stiff steering. Everything has that satisfying German "thunk" to their operation. I could heartily recommend this car,if there are any left on the lots. so far,it has been magnificient!
