Best Car Ive Ever Owned - 2001 Cadillac Catera
By Koka - May 9 - 10:22 amThis car is the perfect vehicle for my wife and I. We are both senior citizens and are retired. Driving it gives us a sense comfort that no other vehicle has given us. Its truly a fun car to drive and has lots of pep.

Fun To Drive - 2000 Cadillac Catera
By JL Cripe - February 19 - 12:59 amWe have found our two Cateras fun to drive, easy to handle and a joy to drive on long trips. The power seats fit our bodies comfortably. The sunroof offers lots of options. Weve had no maintenance problems with either our 1999 or 2000 Catera.

A Piece of Junk - 1998 Cadillac Catera
By michella - November 24 - 2:45 amIve had my Cadillac Catera for four years and it has been in the shop over 35 times for repairs. This car has been nothing but a pain in the rear and a waste of my money. Cadillac should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the consumers to continue to purchase this vehicle.

1st Caddy Daddy - 2000 Cadillac Catera
By RAIDERS5000 - October 13 - 5:13 amThis is my first Cadillac. Ive always been a Lincoln Town Car man because of the size and comfort. I bought this Caddy used for $6,999. It was in immaculate shape. After test driving it, I fell in love. It has a smooth ride, very comfortable feel and is a joy to drive. I may complain about the appearance some but not much. The fantastic interior far outways the exteriors short cummings. The loud Bose sound system and fun to play with moonroof are great. The leather memory seats are definitely of the Cadillac quality. The engine could use a few more horses but I cant complain. It still has great power. If youre in the market for a Caddy, you cant go wrong with a 2000 or later Catera. Ive had no problems with this car through 65,000 miles and counting!

Catera- its a terra! - 1997 Cadillac Catera
By micar - September 11 - 11:26 pmWhen running, my Catera looks and drives well. It loves visiting the mechanic though. The strangest things go wrong almost weekly. I expected better from Caddilac / German engineering!

Dont buy Catera or any other GM product - 1998 Cadillac Catera
By Alex - September 1 - 7:45 amThis car has been absolutely terrible. Although the car is a nice drive when running right it rarely runs right. Lucky I bought an extended warranty that has paid more than $10,000 in repair costs. My problems range from a faulty seat heater to a broken transmission and bad control arm bushings. Also, during my frequent dealership visits I have received crappy service. Dont buy this car or anything else GM makes.

Good Ole GM - 1998 Cadillac Catera
By ooouch! - August 26 - 12:12 amGM had a recall on water pump and pulleys on this vehicle. At 44,000 miles this was done by my dealership. The failure occured at 61,000 miles. Cadillac said sorry for your luck but it is only warranted for 12 months. I think it would probably have lasted longer if they didnt do the "fix" (and then charged enough to do both repairs). Not a good marketing ploy. My wife wants a new Caddy but itll be an import now. Thank heavens for Japanese automakers.

My first Cadillac - 2001 Cadillac Catera
By Sams Catera - August 23 - 2:32 pmWell I just bought this car and so far so good. I love the color, the ammenities and everything that Cadillac is legendary for. I am having some issues, the front end shimmies and one of my fog lights have blown out. The dealership is fixing it, even though they do not have Saturday hours.

2001 Catera Sport - 2001 Cadillac Catera
By Great Car - June 29 - 3:11 pmGreat Car, comfortable ride, pleasure to drive during trips. It really has the Zip Cadillac used in their marketing. Too bad after all the fine-tuning they did and then discontinued the model.

I Love This Car - 1998 Cadillac Catera
By Lou Porter - June 11 - 3:39 pmI have loved every moment I have owned my 1998 Cadillac Catera and I am disappointed that it is no longer available. My previous car was a BMW. My only regret is the car hs only 200 horsepower. However, it performs quite well when I do highway driving.
