Very Pleased - 1998 Buick Skylark
By Al Stefanelli - July 22 - 2:00 amAttractive styling, although the rear end could have used a few more hours on the drawing board. Surprisingly roomy for a six-foot-two, 225 pounder. Peppy, good handling and adequate sound system. This vehicle was impecably maintained and when I bought it with 108K miles on it, the condition was excellent, and still is.

Best Used Car I Ever Had - 1997 Buick Skylark
By choralcat - July 9 - 2:00 amI bought my 97 in the Spring of 98. It 22,000 miles on it. Other than normal service and a new set of tires, I havent needed a thing done to it. I bought the 70,000 mile 7 year protection plan and plan to keep it at least until the 7 years are up.

Good Car! - 1997 Buick Skylark
By clown1 - July 1 - 2:00 amI brought this car when it was a year old. It is five years and 81000 miles later, and I still like it. The only thing I had to do except for routine maintenance, was replace the water pump at 80000 miles.

The Gran(dest) Buick Sport Sedan - 1992 Buick Skylark
By ESumma - June 21 - 2:00 amThis car is a rarity from Buick. There were several styling enhancements that made this vehicle special. The GranSport model made the workaday Skylark shine. It gave a special interior, exterior scheme, and performance oriented nature. The GranSport should be considered by anyone looking to purchase an older Buick for cheap thrills.

SHRINE - 1992 Buick Skylark
By WHITESAND - June 12 - 2:00 amI HAVE ALWAYS PREFERRED GENERAL MOTORS VEHICLES AND THE 92 BUICK GRAN SPORT IS NO EXCEPTION. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN DEPENDABLE, NORMAL MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED. IT HAS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE AND IS VERY GOOD IN SNOW. IT HAS THE SPORTY LOOK OF A GM SPORTS CAR WITHOUT THE HIGH INSURANCE RATES. OVERALL, I HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THIS VEHICLE.

8 Years of Headaches!!! - 1995 Buick Skylark
By bewareskylark - June 9 - 2:00 amWish my mechanics were with me before I bought it. Mainly drove to the train. But it needed brand new brakes & roters 3x’s and a new engine after 5 yrs. With low speed driving, the oil can’t burn off efficiently, even with regular oil changes. The front alingment design caused flat tires and needed new lower ball joints. It had continued fuse problems, and the alternator got replaced twice. 1 month ago it died on the expressway without warning. Another engine design problem allowed the antifreeze to leak into the engine & overheat. Never did any warning lights go off. With 67K miles, the body looked great, but under the hood was junk!!!

A cheap car for a cheap price - 1998 Buick Skylark
By vixkix69 - April 23 - 2:00 amThis car has had several problems starting with unexplained stalling. It has been diagnosed / checked but no problem to be found as of yet. The tires are very easily flattened or destroyed by hard bumps or curbs. The interrior and exterior doesnt hold up.The car very easily gets dings and dents in it.The carpet and seats are falling apart.

Used 1993 Buick Skylark 4-door - 1993 Buick Skylark
By dogeye - April 14 - 2:00 amWhen I bought this Buick in 1998, it had about 60,000 miles on it. It is now 2003, and I have only had to take it to the shop ONE time. This car just keeps on running without missing a beat. Ive owned Chevys, Olds, Fords... the Buick is the best-made family car in America. Have your car checked over when you buy it at the shop, and get them to look at the headlight switch in the steering column mine failed. Change hoses regularly.

Luv that car-O-mine! - 1996 Buick Skylark
By Proud Buick Owner - April 4 - 2:00 amGo 50-55 mph on a long trip, and get mid-30 mpg. The 6 cylinder is torquey, but the overdrive keeps the mileage in the mid to upper 20s. Its solid enough that if someone rear ends you, you and car are functional. Its not a land yacht, but can carry four people in reasonable comfort (the back seat is a bit tight). Easy to insure, easy to travel in () though I like a pillow, or small poodle, for neck rest support. Could use better lumbar support. It always runs! The speedometer is HUGE (as it should be). Happy with the 6-banger lark.

Good car - 1995 Buick Skylark
By drc37 - March 10 - 2:00 amIt has worked well for us for the last 5 years. No complaints. Nothing ever really broke besides the standard items like brakes and battery.
