Solid - 1991 Buick Skylark
By funk53daba - June 6 - 6:14 pmI love my Skylark. Let me re-phrase. Im in love with my Skylark. My dad purchased with ~70K back in late 90s and he was 2nd owner. Its been with me and mine thru college and beyond with no signs of slowing down. I now have 176K. Everything (its almost 20 yrs old folks) everything...works. The GM paint back then was crap. The outside looks as if the car has lepresy, but I think it gives it character. The main point is this thing is solid where it counts. Only time Ive had components break is out of sheer exhaustion, and I cant be mad at the ol girl because I think to myself, "That should have broken 20K ago." If youre lucky enough to land a good one itll repay you tenfold.

1993 Skylark- custom- 2.3l engine -auto - 1993 Buick Skylark
By THE COMMUTER - May 19 - 9:47 amI had this car two months. I paid $500. I put about $400 into it, basic things tires, tune up etc. I drive to Boston daily from rhode island 110 miles round trip, this cars runs great. Handles well roomier than I expected not a bad ride and has decent pickup for a 4 cylinder. I have not had one problem. Getting 32 mpg. And I get stuck in traffic jams daily.

Car to last - 1997 Buick Skylark
By Janet - April 20 - 6:48 pmI got my 97 as a program car from a dealership, in 98. I had problems with the radiator and once the water pump. After these were taken care of the car has been reliable and trustworthy. No it is not a stylish car but it still has time to get to 100,000 and some paint is chipping and the windows are in tough shape(bad electrical windows!) I would buy another Buick in a heartbeat but with roll-down windows! Forgot to say...air conditioner just went on it and the knobs for the dash are hard to find when you replace them.

Great First Car - 1990 Buick Skylark
By andrew - January 10 - 7:05 pmBought the car for 500 in 05, had 140k miles on it at the time. Great first car, had its problems here and there but nothing serious enough to ever leave me stranded, most reliable car ever owned, hit 175k on the odometer last month and seemed like it would have lasted the test of time if i hadnt been hit by someone, the tranny and engine worked splendid, the exterior had taken some damage over the long life she had but besides that the 3.3l V-6 ran fast and true and never gave me a bit of trouble, most expensive replace was probably belts and water pump, if you take car of this car it will last a life time,

Love my car - 1994 Buick Skylark
By Monika Wilson - November 22 - 2:37 pmI have only had this car for a few months but I have to say that I love it. I have had a problem with the driver side window but that I can live with. I bought this car from a private owner that took great care of it. So far it has been dependable and a joy to drive. No complaints.

Fun car, but problematic. - 1995 Buick Skylark
By blahblah718293 - December 19 - 8:52 pmThis was my first car at 131k miles. As soon as I got it it started having problems. The radiator cracked and needed to be replaced, then the heater core went and got antifreeze all over the floor on the passenger side. Other than that I get about 24 mpg overall, but I drive through a lot of hills and it takes quite a bit of gas to lug the 3800 lb car around. The engine is plenty powerful and Ive never had any problems with it or the transmission. Just the cooling/heating system that needs work.

94 Skylark GS CP - 1994 Buick Skylark
By 88TurboI - September 26 - 8:56 amExtremely poor quality of materials. Interior is falling apart. Half-shafts were broken before 50000 miles, as well as a motor mount. Car should be taken out in the pasture and burned.

Great Little Sporty Car - 1995 Buick Skylark
By Paraglider - September 23 - 3:15 pmI have been driving my 1995 Buick Skylark GS for about three years now. I purchased it the last time gas was three dollars a gallon as an inexpensive commuter car to use instead of driving my diesel pickup all the time. I could not be more pleased with this car! The Skylark is the second Buick I have owned. I find them well built, economical, and a good alternative to the imports. I get as good of gas mileage as many imports, with a much more powerful, nicer car to boot. It is a pretty red with dark gray exterior trim and black and gray leather/fabric interior. The exterior of the car looks sporty (for a Buick!) but dulls
