This Year's Model Updates:

A luxurious Ultra model has been added to the lineup that features an all-new V6, a monochrome exterior and heavy doses of wood and leather trim inside. A DVD-based navigation system is now on the options list for the CXL and the Ultra, and XM Satellite Radio is now available on all models. GM's head-up display is now available on the CXL as a stand-alone option.

Pros:
  • Usable third-row seats that fold flat, comfortable ride, plenty of interior storage, lots of options available.
Cons:
  • Weak engine on standard models, good-looking but cheap-feeling interior materials, options push price up quickly, no off-road ability.

We love it. More space than mini vans in the fornt and second rows. Surprisingly spacious in rear compartment. Solid, well built. Lotsa bells and whisltes. Only knock is pickup 0-45 mph.

  • So far...So good - 2004 Buick Rendezvous

Ive had this vehicle for 8 months now. It had 22k miles on it when purchased as a used rental vehicle, and now at 30k, there are no problems yet. I love the handling and the comfort. Im not too crazy about the outside looks, and being 25, male, and single w/out kids, Im the only person in my demographic with this SUV. I Upgraded the stereo and it sounds wonderful. I tested almost every mid-size SUV out there and nothing compared to the ride and interior stylings of the Rendezvous!

Mileage reasonably good, very good ride, excellent turning ratio and can seat 5 or even 7 very nicely. Blind spot on right rear not good, but fun to drive and overal very good and nice looking. We are quite pleased.

We have only had the vehicle for 2 months but we are happy with the comfortable ride and the roominess inside. We test drove many SUVs and while this one wasnt rated the best, we both liked the ride and how it handled. We feel it has adequate power and the gas mileage is no worse then my 1995 Mercury Mystique. We got 24 mpg on the highway trip we just took and are getting 17/18 mpg in city driving. The vehicle still has 24,000/2yrs of bumper to bumper warrenty left. We like the styling of the vehicle, doesnt look like all the other SUVs on the road.

  • Minor quality issues - 2004 Buick Rendezvous
    By -

After 18000 miles, a trip to Florida from NY with the family, I would have to say it is a good vehicle. Some minor issues with the hatchback, and the rear wiper motor had to be replaced already. Handling is good except in tight high speed turns where it feels top heavy. Over all I love the vehicle, especially the all wheel drive in winter. I would buy another if they held thier value better, but after losing half the value of the purchase price in one year I would advise against buying one unless you plan on keeping it around for at least 4 years. Plenty of power and room. The sound system lacks alot. Road noise is a little more than expected, but tollerable.

  • My experience - 2004 Buick Rendezvous

I really like this vehicle. Its the first SUV Ive owned. I shopped for months before deciding to buy. Was turned off by the outside looks, but the price and interior won me over. Its a fun vehicle to own, plan on having a long time.Only repair so far was a bouncing gas guage and high idle, needed computer adjustment. Still seems to idle high to me.

  • My Wife LOVES it! - 2004 Buick Rendezvous
    By -

Weve owned over two dozen cars and this is the ONLY car my wife ever LOVED. Why? its the SUV experience without the SUV truckiness. Versatile, endlessly useful, drives like a baby carriage and good on gas, too. "The SUV with sanity" is how she puts it. No problems so far.

  • 2004 Rendezvous CXL AWD - 2004 Buick Rendezvous

Just bought this car because of the year end closeout and rebates. Got an awesome price. This is my second Buick. So far, so good. The space is great and all the features that came with it are really functional and neat. The 3.5L or 3.6L engine should be the standard. The 3.4L is now old technology. It feels like a very safe vehicle with all the airbags and crumple zones designed into it. I got the fold down third row seat which is handy and recommended.

  • Rented it for a week - 2004 Buick Rendezvous

I liked the vehicle except for ONE thing. The lift gate. I have a DUrango and when I want to close the tailgate, I just barely push it down and its own weight will close it tight. However, the Rendezvous has some kind of funky slow down and probably 8 out of 10 times I closed the tail gate, I had to reopen it and slam it closed. Pain in the bum.

  • Great SUV - 2004 Buick Rendezvous

Had it only for 2 weeks but loving it so far. Luxuries are plentiful - ON Star is good though it is picky on foreign accents.
