Performance-oriented changes, such as more power, sporty tweaks to the steering and suspension, firmer motor mounts and the addition of a strut tower brace underhood, lead the news for the '99 Regal. Other changes include enhancements to the ABS and traction control systems, as well as the addition of a tire inflation monitor, perimeter lighting and the Concert Sound II audio system to Regal's already long list of standard equipment. New options include a self-dimming electrochromic outside rearview mirror, redesigned 15-inch alloy wheels and the eight-speaker, 220-watt Monsoon audio system. And that's all in addition to a new exterior paint color, Auburn Nightmist.

  Hidden Treasure - 1999 Buick Regal

  The Regal GS is a hidden treasure. The car has excellent performance with nice handling. Its also comfortable, I drive 40,000 per year. At 95,000 miles Ive only replaced the tires and brakes.

  WE WERE OUT TO BUY A TOYOTA CAMRY OR A HONDA CRV. THE DEALER HAD THIS BUICK IN THE USED LOT AND ASKED IF WE WERE INTERESTED WE WERE. DROVE IT AND LOVED IT.I AM 6FT 3INCHES 260 POUND MAN IT FITS ME LIKE A GLOVE.FUEL MILEAGE HAS BEEN 24-25MPG COMBINED MOSTLY IN TOWN.

  we are extremll pleased with everything about this car.my parents own cadillacs and this car rides nicer and out preforms it.i wouldnt think of buying anything else but another buick regal supercharged model.simply put its the best kept secert on the auto market.

  This is a great driving car. Car handles well in most driving and weather situations. Since Aug of 1999 I have driven nearly 80,000 miles. I have had no repairs other than normal wear. Both interior and exterior have held up well to the wear and the road conditions. In the winter they salt and sand the roads when it snows, no major damage has been the result.

  Regal GS has great acceleration. Front seat could use better back support - I use a cheap back support cushion I purchased for about $20. Horn is small, difficult to hit - and stupidly designed - definitely not a safety feature. Engine seems to be gradually getting louder as car ages. Extremely comfortable car for long drives (with addition of cheap back support cushion). We love the car - good value for the money & super great Monsoon radio.

  My Buick LSE is 3 years old now and is still very dependable and trouble free. The car is quick, great on gas (uses regular 87 octane), very comfortable seating, and bargin priced. Id definately buy another one but would like to see a updated styling change. Unfortanetly that wont happen until 2005.

  Just turned 50 bought the car in 2000 for performance, assumed it was sleeper and it is! Not much under $30K can touch the performance of the GS and gas mileage is acceptable.

  I luv this car! Bought end of lease for $15000 (plus $1K for 5 yr. warranty) with 26K miles on it. NO European or Japanese car could touch this cars value! Change the stock Goodyear Eagle LSs quick! - they hold the car back - I went to the top-H- rated Dunlop Sport A2s. To get top tire-smokin performance, Trac Control OFF and Perf Shift ON and watch the gas needle drop! To get a SMOOOOTH limo ride, Trac Control ON and Perf Shift OFF. Family LUVS the comfort and interior room!

  Best American Sedan, period. - 1999 Buick Regal

  Outstanding car! Simply better in every way than my 1995 Taurus SHO (which was itself a GREAT car). Flat out fastest American sedan out there("Buick? Yes!"). Current headlines on Buick quality are absolutely correct this thing is screwed together very well. Torsional rigidity is light years beyond my SHO. If you can get past the oxymoron "Buick Sports Sedan" youll find that this is quite simply the best all-around American sedan you can own. No Kidding.
