Overview & Reviews
New alloy wheels, a standard body-colored grille on the GS and two new colors, Gold Metallic and Sterling Silver debut. Inside, there's now a split-folding rear seat and an optional side airbag for the driver on leather-lined Regals.
- Powerful supercharged V6 in GS, comfortable front seats, uncluttered looks.
- Elderly image, uninspired interior design, leather has low-buck feel.

Buick Review - 2000 Buick Regal
By RB the Buick Driver - May 14 - 2:00 amI have driven this car for 39 months have had to do the normal maintenance only until just recently. At about 60,000 miles, there was something going on with the transmission -- the dealer says it make be resolved with a transmission fluid flush (about $1300) or may need a new transmission ($2600). I cant understand why the transmission should be bad this soon. Ive driven Buicks for the past 3 cars - - I may need to go to a Toyota or Honda. This is just ridiculous. Otherwise, this is a comfortable ride, especially on road trips. Ive just had to do the brakes for the second time (Im at 64735 miles).

Solid sedan but questionable reliability - 2000 Buick Regal
By CIT - February 12 - 2:00 amThe Supercharged engine is wonderful when you need it, without sacrifcing fuel economy. I dislike buying the premium gas that it requires though. I use it for business and it has a professional and classy look. It doesnt corner well, although the quiet and smooth ride is a plus. Two repairs in 33 months: driver heated seat($1,000) and temperature sensor totalling ($700) leaves me questioning its reliability.

poor quality control - 2000 Buick Regal
By Ray Heard - November 13 - 2:00 amThe rubber seal around the windshield flew off while driving at the posted speed (70 mph). The dealer said that they have not had another incident like that reported. . The trim on the drivers side that covers the channel that carries the wiring harness to the rear of the car fell off into the street when I struck it with my foot while exiting the auto. . The rubber or plastic trim that covers the head liner on the edges has always been loose, The front seats have absolutely no lumbar support.

No Problems - 2000 Buick Regal
By Joe M - October 31 - 2:00 amThis has been a great car and Im considering keeping it when my lease expires in 4 months. It is fun to drive, comfortable, reliable and durable enough to still look good even when I have 3 kids 7 and under. I have never had a major problem and every issue I have had has been handled by Buick without question.

Great Car - 2000 Buick Regal
By Clyde M - September 7 - 2:00 amSmooth ride. Sporty look. Handling not as good as a sports car but probably due to the smoother suspension. Plenty of room with leather interior makes for a nice ride. Decent sound system with steering wheel control make driving more comfortable.

Buick 2000 GS - 2000 Buick Regal
By Sajid Ansari - August 10 - 2:00 amGreat car. Super pickup. Luxurious interior. Great sound. Reliable. Tons of features. Makes you feel great when you drive. Better than most cars in its class. Beats the "American cars are junk. Buy Japanese". On the downside - it doesnt manoeuvre as sharply as a sport sedan shld. (prob coz of its size). The body structure and color could be improved. Overall - a superb car. love it more each day.

Good buy - 2000 Buick Regal
By densaw - June 27 - 2:00 amHas been dependable. Better gas mileage than expected, but go easy on the supercharger or this drops fast. Very comfortable and handles and responds nicely.Nice interior but cup holders are in awkward position. The car is heavy and you must be aware of this when trying to stop. Automatic transmission smoth and flawless. All in all a good buy.
