This Year's Model Updates:

The deletion of the Century Limited trim level from the 2003 model lineup leaves us with a lone Century this year, and it offers only a short list of updates. Most important to note is that antilock brakes, OnStar and the driver side-impact airbag are now optional, instead of standard equipment. Other standard features moved to the optional equipment list include the rear glass antenna, front bucket seats and accompanying center console, cassette player, split-folding rear seat, sunroof, heated exterior mirrors and the 15-inch aluminum wheels. Other changes remain largely aesthetic; a new exterior appearance package adds revised fascias, updated door moldings and a graphite color grille. Inside, the Century benefits only from new wood switch plates. There's also a new starter for improved cold weather cranking and an impact-absorbing headliner that exceeds new federal requirements.

Pros:
  • Roomy, clean styling, low base price.
Cons:
  • Stodgy image, mushy seats, engine lacks quiet smoothness of competitors.

Nice car for the money. I was able to use over nine thousand dollars off retail price in rebates/incentives. It didnt overly impress me at first but I have grown to really like it. It is a perfect car for an older person (my 77yr. mother likes it). Wish the doors sounded more solid when they shut. very good gas mileage. Wish it had split folding rear seats standard in this price range.

Very pleased with my 2003 Century. Comfortable to drive and easy to handle. Good gas mileage and customer service at the dealership where I purchased it.

I traded my 1998 Ford Ranger in for this Buick! Reason was i travel 178 Mi to the VA in Atlanta. I needed somthing with a more comfortable ride! And with my Century i got it! I see alot of rentals complaining about things? I guess they never intented to buy? But so far i have NO complaints! I just got the vehicle and ill keep you posted on further results...

Bought this vehicle as an ex-rental 6 months ago ($14000, 13000 miles), and its been a complete dream. Ive had to spend exactly $0.00 thus far on this car except maintenance. Excellent ride quality and more features than I probably need. This is my first Buick, and Im a third-generation customer. Ill never buy anything else now. I hear it gets alot of bad marks on styling but thats personal preference and it doesnt bother me. Ill take an understated statelier car compared to all those ugly new ones.

We wanted a car that drove like a Lincoln, but didnt cost a ton of money and this car is a dream to drive. Plenty of leg room. Love the passenger/driver comfort controls. Car has been excellent on gas mileage and is driven over 200 miles per day. I would purchase another one in the future.

This is my 4th Century from same dealer. smoothness and trans noise improved from my 98. Actually I like one model with option custom or limited to select from. Seat lumbar improved since I have a lower back problem. Price is Ok will do it again.

  • its not my fathers car anymore - 2003 Buick Century

This is the second Century I have purchased..I got the 1997 Limited and enjoyed it so much, I just got a 2003. Hands down, you get your moneys worth out of the vehicle. It is not the same Buick my father had in the 60s. This car if for every age. If you want to "sport it up" get the Regal. Large trunk, great visiability, great power for a small v-6. I drive 100 mile round trip to work and you cant ask for a better American Made Car.

  • Great Buy - 2003 Buick Century

In a few short weks I have found my return to American made cars to be a pleasure. I find it more comfortable than my Accord or Maxima. The test drive was equivalent to the Camry I was considering. Pound for pound the Century is thebuy of the century.
