Overview & Reviews
Light Poplar Grain wood trim is available as a no-charge option on all Z4s. White indicator lights are standard across the board, and foglights and cruise control are now standard on the 2.5i. The 3.0i includes automatic climate control as standard equipment this year. Leather seating is no longer part of the 2.5i's Premium Package and is a stand-alone option, while all models receive additional black accents for the interior. The Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) is only available on the 3.0i, and requires the Sport Package. Last year's Convenience Package is history, though its contents are now either standard or part of the Premium Package.
- Exhilarating driving dynamics, long list of standard safety features, refined drivetrains, excellent build quality.
- Options are expensive, odd styling, firm ride, notable wind and road noise.

Must Read - 2005 BMW Z4
By Jana - February 10 - 3:10 amHave had this car a year. a great car fun to drive and lots of room. Have had other makes but this is by for the best. If anything goes wrong, BMW stands behind their car. And not everyone has a car like yours and I like that. I dont want a car that everyone has. Fun car for a man and wife, they can take to the road and talk and have fun. It is the best thing that my hubby and I ever did was buy this car it has a great radio but we never use it. We love to get in the car and ride and talk. We have been married 25 years and kids are grown and this car gave us a way to get out and have fun and talk and see things that we never seen in a car that the top is on all that time. It is a must have.

Z4 - 2005 BMW Z4
By yukon771 - January 29 - 10:34 amGreat handling, comfort ride, this is one of the few unique looking cars on the road. Most other convertibles all look a like. I like that this one is very distinctive in looks.

Its a Blast! - 2005 BMW Z4
By Peacefield - January 27 - 5:38 pmIts a wonderful drivers car that doesnt ask for many compromises. For a small two seater, leg room is ample and a golf bag plus hand cart fit easily into the trunk, even with the top down! The cars road manners are outstanding and the chassis is wonderfully stiff for a ragtop. I definitely recommend stepping up to the 3.0 engine and 6spd. Im told that the 2.5 and 5spd can seem winded at highway speeds. Definitely not the case with the 3.0/6spd. The looks inside and out are controversial, but they continue to grow on me. Quality to this point has been very good.

By Steve - January 25 - 11:18 amSince buying my Z4 in Sept. ( its a 2004), Ive put on 3000 very fun miles. Plenty of power and lots of compliments on the car. The only problem was the auto-darken rear view mirror failed and had to be replaced.

By BeckerScience - January 19 - 9:17 pmThere is not a bad day when I drive my Z4 roadster. From the time I put it on, until I slide out of it,,,it is sheer happiness and performance. It thinks, compensates, makes beautiful hmusic and can store enough for a vacation for 2!. It handles like a dream, holds the road like it is attached. I love its unique lines and styling.
