Overview & Reviews
Dynamic Stability Control is now standard on all Z3s. The cars also receive freshened exterior and interior styling and appointments.
- Superb road manners, sexy shape, lots of standard high-tech goodies, brand cachet.
- Some cheap interior bits, roadsters have a plastic rear window, significantly less expensive two-seaters are out there.

2000 BMW Z Coupe 2.8 - 2000 BMW Z3
By Canyonlands - October 18 - 2:00 amHow can you beat this car? What else are you going to drive some car you see on every corner. Ive considered many others including Minis, Boxsters and M3s. I see them all the time and Im so glad of my choice. I have people asking me about the car all the time. People wondering what it is and if Id sell it. Yeah right! Ive had over 40 cars, mostly that fall into the fun category. This easily is the coolest little car I I know of within $30K of what they can be had for.

Bulletproof - 2000 BMW Z3
By Mike33 - October 4 - 2:00 amI have owned my Z for four years. I have driven it hard daily. I have had it back to the dealer once and that was for an oil change. I still love the cars looks and enjoy driving it in all kinds of weather.

Z3 Coupe (50k miles) - 2000 BMW Z3
By adkeeney2 - August 2 - 2:00 amIve loved this car from the very beginning. It is powerful and fun yet a little more practical than the roadster. We are able to get a decent amount of stuff in the hatch. Handling is superb.

Have another car - 2000 BMW Z3
By Techshark - July 14 - 2:00 amWhile this car is fun, it needs to visit the dealer about every 6 to 8 weeks, so make sure you have another car to use. So far weve had breaks, new seat belts, plus a host of unknown "service engine soon" requirements for which it needs to go in each time. We are afraid what this will cost us with it comes off warranty.

Its not an MG Midget - 2000 BMW Z3
By argonaut - July 7 - 2:00 amMy first car was a 76 MG Midget. It wasnt fast, but it was 1800 lbs of light, nimble pure fun. Like the MG, it is small with a slightly claustrophobic interior and the top comes down. But, this is not a light toy, and weighs in at a thousand pounds heavier. It is reasonably quick, very responsive and just plain sexy. For a reasonably new car, it has had way too many mechanical problems, such as the heater fan breaking, and the seals all needing to be replaced so it would not leak. That being said, the car is lots of fun and well worth the money. This is a very refined true cloth top roadster. And its way cool to have heated side view mirrors.

Classic Sports Roadster - 2000 BMW Z3
By Larry Fink - May 28 - 2:00 amGreat summer time fun car. Mine has never seen snow. Never leaves the garage with the soft top up. Either topless or with the hard top when ever going out.

What more could you want? - 2000 BMW Z3
By MEDniK - May 26 - 2:00 amHaving owned a few british convertibles, this is probably the car they wish theyd made, and the slew of Japanese convertibles just dont have the flair that BMW have injected into this amazing car. Incredible road holding, unfaltering acceleration and striking styling are second to none in this price range. The obsession with the plastic rear window eludes me - true high performance convertible roadsters wear the plastic rear window with pride!

S-W-E-E-T - 2000 BMW Z3
By ROAD LIZARD - April 29 - 2:00 amThis car is an experience unlike any other vehicle Ive owned. It handles and performs exceptional. Although it is a 2.3, it has plenty of power and speed to provide a lasting grin for years. The comfort level is better than typical sports car and the interior design puts things right at your fingertips. The cosmetic appearance delivers a classy look that is eye-catching and head-turning. A 5- speed is the only flavor for this Roadster.

Great Ride - 2000 BMW Z3
By LMB - April 10 - 2:00 amI love driving this car. I really only drive it on pretty days - couldnt stand to see it dirty. I think the car drives great and is so much fun on the open road. I corners great, and has the typical BMW quality. I love the "roadster" look of this car inside and out -- I think the new Z4 looks to much like the Mercedes and doesnt have the same roadster feel.
