Never considered hard-edged performance cars in their respective segments, the stylish 2003 Audi TT coupe and roadster finally offer an automatic transmission -- and a six-speed unit at that. Unfortunately, it's available only on the front-drive, 180-horsepower coupe and roadster. In other news, the quattro version of the 180-hp coupe is no longer offered and the remaining cars get a new front grille and revised exterior badging. Cast-alloy wheel designs have been updated, and, this year, you'll be able to get optional 17-inch all-season tires on all TTs (you could only get summer performance tires in this size previously); 18-inch all-season rubber is available on 225-hp models. Finally, the optional Bose sound system gets AudioPilot technology, which uses volume and tonal adjustments to compensate for outside noise.

By Renzo - December 2 - 2:00 amThis car is about as fun as it gets. It may not be as fast off the blocks as the Porsche but its got the retro styling that distinguishes it from the rest. There are distinct styling features imprinted throughout the car. Handling is impeccable with very slight understeer. No skimping in the details. It would be nice to put an Audi performance chip in it, but that would void the warranty.

By TTguy - November 22 - 2:00 amWell, I must say that the first thing that I noticed about the 2003 TTs was that the 6 spoke rims that come standard on the quattro model is so nice and elegant compared to last years model. Also worth noting is just the AWD feature that the 225 has! You can take 25mph turns going 50mph and still feel like you are in complete control of the car. I didnt really buy the whole "useless" backseats quote until I actually got in to it. But lets face it, you are not buying the TT as a family car.

Get black exterior with "baseball" optic leather and you have a vehicle that never stops turning heads.
