Overview & Reviews
For 2001 Audi introduces the TT Roadster, which retains the same interior and chassis as the coupe. Makes sense, as the coupe was designed with the roadster version in mind. There's also a 225-horsepower quattro version for both the coupe and convertible.
- Distinctive styling, cutting-edge interior, optional all-wheel drive.
- Useless back seat in coupe, interior ergonomics take getting used to, lacks low-end grunt.

ettp - 2001 Audi TT
By ettp - November 23 - 2:00 amThe TT is not the most extreme performer in its class, but it does more things well at once than any competitor. It can keep up with 99% of sports cars on the tight twisties, but it is also a pleasure to drive for hundreds of miles and many hours on end. It is also the only car in its class that is likely to end up in an art museum for its design alone. Put this all together and no other car comes close.

good - 2001 Audi TT
By NC - October 29 - 2:00 amNo major problems, car is 2 years old, with 15000. Wipers have been replaced 3 times and dealer repalced windshield as wipers scratched window. Slight grind shifting into 3rd, dealer claims is normal? Water gts into door sill when washed, dealer also calims is normal. Fun to drive and no mechanical issues other than transmission shift into 3rd gear.

By N.Hennigar - October 1 - 2:00 amI flew to Buffalo N.Y to purchase this vehicle. I was Was not looking forward to the drive home to Clearwater FL.Boy was I wrong. Fun to drive, excellent gas mileage (32)Excellent handling. cool cruiser. Coming home one afternoon seconds ahead of me I noticed a large turtle at 40 MPH. I turn the wheel "slalom like" going off into the wet grass. coming back on the same way.Thiscar was possessed. With the Quattro all wheel drive/EDL,car was back on course in seconds. I almost wet myself. It did thtings in that 1.2 seconds I never experienced before. Its like the car took over. Turtle and I survived.

Fun - 2001 Audi TT
By long time owner - September 5 - 10:00 amThis is a fun car. I dont know what people are complaining about--its a sports car. Its small! Its not a Caddy. Its going to be hard to get into. My big problem in 15000 miles is a seat belt that catches and squeeking windshield wipers, both fixed immediately. My dealer, Premier Motors in Albuquerque, has been terriffic. No problems with their service at all. Im very happy with my TT. I wouldnt trade it for anyting else.

Audi TT - 2001 Audi TT
By gharrower - June 25 - 2:00 amWhile it isnt a Porsche, its a great sports car. And living in the Midwest I love it in the winter...with winter snow tires Ive never had a problem with snow its as sure footed as a mountain goat. With Z rated summer tires its more fun to drive than anything Ive been in before.

Awesome Roadster - 2001 Audi TT
By fischetg - May 30 - 2:00 amThis is one awesome vehicle! I appreciate the feeling of control driving under all weather conditions. With the baseball glove leather seats, the interior is a work of art. Fuel economy is about 30MPG on the highway and it is quite the head-turner. This is my third Audi, and reliability has been outstanding with all three cars.

Vehicle as Art - 2001 Audi TT
By Holloway12 - May 23 - 2:00 amMy Audi TT has the baseball glove interior, xenon headlights, and special wheels. The overall effect is unlike any vehicle in its price range for artful syling. I test drove the Porsche Boxster but was VERY disappointed in the interior styling. I wanted a vehicle that would provide me a wonderful driving experience along with a beautiful/artistic interior. The Audi TT Quattro convertible provided me both thse characteristics I sought.

My first love was the Boxter (I didnt fit in it - Im 63") second choice Solera (I have a wife and two teenagers,,,and Toyotas last forever) but it was so boring. Next was the BMW 330c.
