This Year's Model Updates:

Two new colors join the 2002 Audi TT palette, Brilliant White and Moro Blue. HomeLink is available as an option, and the navigation system gets an upgrade, as does the stereo. A blue top is available for the roadster, and the trunk gets an interior release. In the spring of 2002, Audi will appeal to collectors and offer the ALMS (American Le Mans Series) Commemorative Edition TT Coupe in a limited run of 1,000 cars. This special TT Coupe will come in two configurations -- a Misano Red exterior with a Silver Silk napa leather interior or an Avus Silver exterior with a Brilliant Red interior. Although the ALMS is essentially a more exquisitely trimmed version of the 225-hp coupe, Audi will fit it with 18-inch wheels and Z-rated 225/40 high-performance tires.

Pros:
  • Distinctive styling, cutting-edge interior, available all-wheel drive.
Cons:
  • Useless back seat in coupe, interior ergonomics take getting used to, lacks low-end grunt.

  • Already 12 service visits? - 2002 Audi TT

I purchased this car new in Oct 02. Of course the interior and exterior design are unparalleled, the quality of the workmanship is something to be desired. Since new, I have been to the service dept. 12 times, all for petty things, such as blown speakers, stuck glovebox, new climate control unit, new instrument cluster, and many others. I love driving this car, but I expect better quality from such an elite marque. Guess Ill be buying a Lexus next time around.

From the moment I saw the prototype of this car I knew it was a classic. After years of lusting for it I finally purchased the red ALMS.Its a classy car, loads of fun to drive and always gets a thumbs up on the road.No mechanical problems after 2 years and my weekend ritual is keeping it clean. I put a computer chip in it and changed the exhaust system for a little more kick. A sunroof would be nice but really its a great car!

After shopping the Z3 and the Boxter, I chose the TT. 65,000 miles later I know I made the right choice. Much more confortable, with lots of features the others do not have, gorgeous interior, all wheather usability, and almost the same performance. Gets looks everywhere. Tremendous fun to drive. No comparison with the others.Very reliable and trouble free after 65,000 miles! A truly great car.

My vehicle has been in for service 48 days and is not yet 2 years old intermitently does not start-dealership cannot find problem. Sway bars replaced 3 times, stereo replaced- insturment cluster failed,CD player had to be replaced- build quality is crap- DO NOT BUY-Mercedes,BMW,Infinity first-many electrical problems-I am having to sue Audi-Audi corp policy- THEY DO NOT REPURCHASE THERE VEHICLES- YOU DO HAVE TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY TO SUE THEM- not smart for a car company that wants to retain it customers- and really bad policy!!! So Cal Audi rep should be fired!!!

  • Still my dream car... - 2002 Audi TT

After 2 1/2 years of ownership Im still in love with this car. The design of this car is timeless and I cant imagine ever owning another sports car. In the twisties, it drives like a slot car (even in the rain with Quattro all wheel drive.) The interior design fits the overall design theme and I have plenty of room (Im 6 2".) Its surprisingly roomy for such a small car. Its also very comfortable on long trips (no driver fatigue.) I also like not seeing multiples of my model of car everyday. Sometimes I go days without seeing another TT....and I dont live in the boonies!

Oh my gosh, this has to be one of the most fun driving cars ever. I went to a car show and was strolling around and found an Audi and there was a TT Coupe and i had to sit in it. Once closing the door I fell in love. I couldnt figure out wether it was how quiet the cabin was or how it felt like I was going fast while standing still. So when I got home I researched them and decided to buy used and got a 2002 Audi TT Coupe 225 Hp and am never getting another car until this one quits. No matter how fast your going with the quattro you can whip it in and out of the curves with no slipage and the engine keeps pumping out RPMs.

I love this car. Fun to drive, and in good driving/weather conditions it takes care of you. I have the performance tires so snow & ice can be tricky, but the all wheel drive is wonderful in the snow. This car has very confident acceleration, and handling.

  • ALMS for me - 2002 Audi TT

Ive loved this car from the first day I took possession of it. With the turbocharged engine, nicely matched 6-speed manual and quattro all-wheel drive this car provides all the performance of cars priced thousands higher. The TT is really in its element on open, twisting roads - but Ive found that it is fun to slalom through the ponderously large SUVs which congest our urban freeways! The details of this car are designed to delight - all the way down to the beautifully designed gas filler - makes filling the tank marginally enjoyable. In the two years Ive had the car I have had had no mechanical problems and only minor issues with the radio system.
