Overview & Reviews
For 2001 Audi introduces the TT Roadster, which retains the same interior and chassis as the coupe. Makes sense, as the coupe was designed with the roadster version in mind. There's also a 225-horsepower quattro version for both the coupe and convertible.
- Distinctive styling, cutting-edge interior, optional all-wheel drive.
- Useless back seat in coupe, interior ergonomics take getting used to, lacks low-end grunt.

TT Quattro Coupe - 2001 Audi TT
By 2 Dr. quatto Turbo A - February 9 - 3:19 amThis is the most wonderful car on the road. It rates, to me, first class in everything. Drive one for yourself. The price is worth the car. I constantly have strangers come up to me and ask what kind of car it is.

Once you go German, you never go back... - 2001 Audi TT
By Matt - October 5 - 4:45 pmI think this story sums it up. I was recently getting lunch at a deli shortly after I washed and waxed my TT when I heard a gentleman behind me say to his friend, "Did you see that Audi out there, what a sweet car." It suffers from turbo lag, but once out of first, its not noticeable. I live in Colorado, so the AWD is a nice feature for a roadster. It also has plenty of power over the mountain passes and is a constant head turner. A fantastic car!

TT Has Been a Super Car - 2001 Audi TT
By S Stangl - April 14 - 1:14 pmI have had my TT since 2001, and still love to drive it. The styling still gets nods of approval from people in the street, the styling really is unique. Overall I have been happy with the car, it does have a few interior squeaks here and there, and some minor electrical issues occurred, but its a very solid car.

Great car! 225 hp prob. better choice - 2001 Audi TT
By 01 roadster covt 1.8 - April 9 - 2:47 pmI love my Audi TT drives smooth, you only have to have maintenance every 10k miles There is one problem that upsets me about the car, it seems there is something loose on the driver side. When you hit lets say a pot hole or something or even just cruising its like a creaking sound very annoying. Overall excellent car, its a head turner, Especially with the top down, its quick and reliable. Oh I wish there was an in-dash cd (would make life a little easier.) Other than that LOVE IT!!!!

Solid, great all-around car! - 2001 Audi TT
By Cardude - February 17 - 5:36 pmPros: Power 2200-5800 rpm, tight handling, killer brakes, gorgeous style, solid feel, safe, AWD, flashing brights back at people who think HIDs are high-beams. Cons: Less balanced than a Boxster, loses power 6000+ rpm, limited visibility, rain water on rear window, no CD player standard in a $38000 car, cupholder placement (all these are niggles). MountainScott, the car is a single turbo NOT a twin-turbo. TT does not stand for twin turbo. "Go in knowing what youre getting," as you say.

Great bang for the buck... - 2001 Audi TT
By bad_mecha - January 17 - 2:12 amAfter deciding to replace my VW, I decided to try and get one of my dream-cars," the Audi TT. Speaking with friends and trying their cars, combined with familarity with the A4 convinced me to research the Audi further. After two months of research and hunting down the exact color, mileage, and price, and I couldnt be happier (do the hunt, its worth it in the end to get the exact ride you want). You really can find this car at the right price. The car is an unbelievable value, its fast, torquey, handles like a dream, corners like its on rails, is comfortable, and just looks awesome. Everybody looks twice at this car, even if theyre looking at your taillights as you pull away.

2001 Audi TT - Great Car - 2001 Audi TT
By RTK TT - December 24 - 2:19 amI have received tons of compliments on my 2001 Audi TT 225 quattro since I first purchased it. This car is four years old now and I still get looks in it. It delivers great performance with its 225HP twin intercooled turbo, 5V per cyl engine. Witrh the all wheel drive, it has it all.

new to me - 2001 Audi TT
By britvin - August 14 - 2:00 amLove the car. It is the perfect car for Hawaii. Only had a problem with the sensor for the top. The light stayed on constantly and the Audi dealership (in Waikiki) got it right in and fixed the problem. Still under the warranty so time in the shop (1/2 day) was free.
