This Year's Model Updates:

Two new colors join the 2002 Audi TT palette, Brilliant White and Moro Blue. HomeLink is available as an option, and the navigation system gets an upgrade, as does the stereo. A blue top is available for the roadster, and the trunk gets an interior release. In the spring of 2002, Audi will appeal to collectors and offer the ALMS (American Le Mans Series) Commemorative Edition TT Coupe in a limited run of 1,000 cars. This special TT Coupe will come in two configurations -- a Misano Red exterior with a Silver Silk napa leather interior or an Avus Silver exterior with a Brilliant Red interior. Although the ALMS is essentially a more exquisitely trimmed version of the 225-hp coupe, Audi will fit it with 18-inch wheels and Z-rated 225/40 high-performance tires.

Pros:
  • Distinctive styling, cutting-edge interior, available all-wheel drive.
Cons:
  • Useless back seat in coupe, interior ergonomics take getting used to, lacks low-end grunt.

My vehicle has been in for service 48 days and is not yet 2 years old intermitently does not start-dealership cannot find problem. Sway bars replaced 3 times, stereo replaced- insturment cluster failed,CD player had to be replaced- build quality is crap- DO NOT BUY-Mercedes,BMW,Infinity first-many electrical problems-I am having to sue Audi-Audi corp policy- THEY DO NOT REPURCHASE THERE VEHICLES- YOU DO HAVE TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY TO SUE THEM- not smart for a car company that wants to retain it customers- and really bad policy!!! So Cal Audi rep should be fired!!!

  • Audi TT - CA Lemon Law Works! - 2002 Audi TT

Replaced turbo, sway bars, dash computer twice, drivers seat and horn - 14 WEEKS+ in service. Burns 1 quart oil every 900 miles. Rear suspension creaks over uneven surfaces such as speed bumps, driveway entrances. I requested the Audi service manager and Audi Factory 800# to set-up a meeting with the local Audi Factory Rep – it never materialized. After 20 months of run-around, I hired an attorney and WON my case using the CA Lemon Law. Audi agreed to repurchase the car including tax, license. Bottom line: The Audi Factory rep that handles Torrance, CA area - should be terminated – his/her non-response is the only reason I hired the attorney.

  • Looks good, not so great - 2002 Audi TT

Audi took an exceptionally styled vehicle and went nowhere with it. The paint quality does not maintain a shine and scratches very easily. Power leaves much to be desired at lower rpm. Interior design is well done, although a little more storage space would be helpful. It has a VERY rough ride on imperfect pavement.
