By pedro3 - May 7 - 2:00 amThis is my daily commuting car(110 miles r/t), and it is very sporty and handles exceptionally well.The suspension is stiff but the comfort of the seats more than makes up for that.Its great for a short haul or a multi-hour drive even though the back seat is a bit tight.The interior/exterior build quality is excellent.The gas mileage is a bit worse than I had initially expected at an avg of 14mpg. With this much torque and HP one could easily drive this car in 6th gear most of the time where I see 18mpg+, but the lower gears make for a lot of fun!The Quattro system is just as good as I remember from my old A4.

Amazing. - 2004 Audi S4
By FrontLine - May 6 - 2:00 amAudi wasnt even in my vocabulary when I went to look for a new car but I passed it walking out to test drive a few Porsche vehicles and thought, what a beautiful understated car. I went out in the Porsche and went back and said lets take the S4 out. Needless to say 100mph through a cloverleaf with no traction loss and I was sold. Its a beautiful car inside and out my ONLY complaint is the cupholder in the dash stinks.

By ashear - May 5 - 2:00 amI raced this car stock and it far exceeded my expectations. Zero brake fade, like the old model had. Tourqe from all speeds, I constantly skip gears when I normally drive, it has more power than it really would ever need.

I cant stop myself from reving the engine at every stop sign just to hear the engine. Not only is it a star on dry roads but drives even better in the rain. There is no convertible like it outthere.

Not Close to an M3 - 2004 Audi S4
By OLSONR - April 19 - 2:00 amWide console rubs my kneecap constantly. Navigation system not accessible by navigator. No moving map. Just directions" on a 2X2 screen for a $1500 option. Wifes 1997 M3 gets 50% more mileage with same pickup. Torque-steer on front wheels annoying. Harsh ride. Gave back to dealer to sell with less than 400 miles on it. Will keep M3. A horrible car.

By aamyot - April 11 - 2:00 amUnbelievable, smooth and powerful. A joy just to sit in and admire. Smoothest tranny I have ever experienced. Not a day goes by where either the color (Nogaro blue) or the Alacantara recaro (blue) interior doesnt get noticed by a passer-by!

By AudioFileZ - April 9 - 2:00 amIve owned this car for about 2.5 months and I still get excited everytime I get in and crank it. My exitement hasnt diminished a bit yet, in fact it has grown as I have learned to drive it (44yrs. old and never shifted gears before can you believe). This car is art. It is an amazing blend of ergonomic creature comfort, great looks, 4-door functionality, and unbelievable performance. It leaves very little left to add to the mix since it is so potent and so driveable.

Audi has mastered doing everything well: excellent fit/finish, top notch performance, class-leading crash tests, and the price is right. Just feel the materials, touch buttons, open and close things. Top Gear in England ran the S4 around a track a full one second faster than the M3 (1 second is an eternity in racing). It was nearly on pace with the Lambo Murcielago. So dont think youre getting less of a sports car than the M3. Its actually quicker and a bit more refined. Best car Ive ever owned.

Great Car with a Fatal Flaw - 2004 Audi S4
By msp - April 8 - 2:00 amGreat fit and finish, great power but what is it with the throttle response? So much delay you can stomp to the floor and let off before anything happens. Worse than a turbo. When it does finally get going it keeps on going even after you start easing off. Not safe in a car with this much power! Gives new meaning to "Unintended Acceleration". Evaluate carefully before you buy!
