The Electronic Stabilization Program is made standard on the S4 Sedan. The S4 Avant debuts for 2001, allowing for more cargo space and family-hauling capabilities. Casablanca White is made available as an exterior color, as are aluminum mirror housings in combination with the Pearl Nappa/Alcantara sets and aluminum trim. A new 4-year warranty concept is introduced this year.

  I test drove some other cars this weekend, how will I ever be content to say nothing of happy with anything that doesnt perform like my S4? It does everything a car should. I even get between 26-27 mpg on the highway- which is were I drive it the most. I love the fact that it is exotic without having to try. I have alcantara seating, I get WOWs everyweek! The hardest part about owning this car, is obeying the speed limit. If you can, get one. You will not be disappointed. Oh yeah-- In a couple years, when my warranty is up- CAN YOU SAY 500 HP ! What a great idea !

  I purchased a 2001 S4 about 2 months ago with 7K miles. It is the automatic w/ tiptronic. I wanted to purchase the manual but with a lot of city driving and myself being 6 feet 5 inches it is hard to shift. I test drove the BMW 330i, volvo s70, ssab 93 viggen and none of them compared to the S4. This car handles great and the acceleration off of the twin turbos is second to none.

  Ive had this rocket sled for just under a year and couldnt be happier with the purchase. It flies. It takes corners like its teathered to the apex. It stops. It holds tons of stuff (particularly with the rear seats down).

  This car has smooth power delivery and great looks. The Quattro is excellent in wet and snowy conditions and delivers power well during acceleration. I love the six-speed transmission and the turbos allow passing without down-shifting. I cant wait to see what Ingolstadt comes out with for the next generation S4!

  This is the fastest car Ive driven. Not only is this car fast, but it corners on a dime. Id be willing to bet you could take almost any car on a wet road around corners. I knew this was a nice car, but had no idea of the craftmenship until I started driving. Like most people, I wanted a safe, reliable, fast, good mileage AWD vehicle. This was my number one choice after driving the X-Type and 330XI. The price was cheaper and Ill be honest it out performed its competition.

  This is a very special and unique car to own. It is a Porsche fighter without a doubt, yet rather stealty and you can bring friends along. It is the biggest German bang for the buck. The cars that are comparable (M3, CLK55, C32) start at $10,000 more and go up rapidly from there. It is quick in a straight line, yet very comfortable and compliant.

  The Audi S4 provides nearly everything anyone could ask for in a car. High performance, luxury, sedan/wagon utility, all wheel drive/all weather performance all for what truly is not a bad price especially compared to the BMW and Mercedes competition. Its been incredible driving this car everyday. Everyone should be lucky enough to own one of these great cars. And this is before tuning. With a couple of reasonably priced modifications you can take on any new M3. If you have the chance to get anS4 I highly recommend you do!

  Amazing car! Extreemly tuneable engine. Not as high performance as an M but much more practicle and accessable.
