The worst car ever created - 1999 Audi A6
By Stevenam - June 18 - 2:00 amFor the $40k this car cost, it should be reliable. Its not. 16 major problems and 22 minor ones in 4 years. I wish Id bought two $20k Mazdas instead. Ill never buy another Audi. EVER.

Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop - 1999 Audi A6
By Pmontero - May 30 - 2:00 amRelatively pain-free an absolute joy to drive. Originally a SoCal car, now in Michigan, the quattro has impressed. Fuel sending unit recall early on, expecting more trouble never had it. Only other odd thing: Rear pads lasting about half as long as fronts and the rotors not being "turn-able" despite catching pads early. My Jetta VR6 is MUCH more problematic Doubt Ill buy A6 after lease is up 7/03 just for fear of what Ill be up for. Oh, yeah. Leatherette interior, no seat heaters, no BOSE, no moonroof makes this cars residual a joke (but original deal bettered V70).

Audi - My Car - 1999 Audi A6
By Mthiran - May 26 - 2:00 amAbout 6 years ago I moved up from Volkswagen to Audi. At the time a switch purely based on the Fact the Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche are owned by the same xompany : VAG Gmbh. The Difference was noticably. Audi isnt the problematic car it was in the 80s and early 90s. It has come along way, Aside from design and comfort, reliability is definately a selling point. Aside from that, Reeves Import Motor Cars in Tampa has a service department second to none.

Best car Ive had...one weird thing - 1999 Audi A6
By Robbo331 - April 24 - 2:00 amBest car Ive owned...got a lease, extended the lease, now I just bought it. 42000 miles. The car has saved my BUTT several times on slick roads...great brakes. Love AWD, you can go FAST on highway entrances, BOSE rocks. Interior is very comfy and looks like youve got 747 controls at night. Had several recalls but that went smoothly.

1999 Audi A6 Quartro - 1999 Audi A6
By Niclo Casta - April 23 - 2:00 amSeveral items had to be replaced during the five years of ownership and other observerances. 1. Relay switch for transmission had to be replaced. (Repair cost was refunded by Audi after I wrote them a letter.) 2. Headlight washer pump had to be replaced. Covered under warranty. 3. Middle rear seat belt froze and had to be replaced. Took three weeks to get part. Covered under warranty. 4. Fastener for front carpet broke off. 5. Service provider suggested repairs that were not needed after warranty expired. This was confirmed by a master mechanic.

my first audi - 1999 Audi A6
By jorgezl - April 19 - 2:00 amThis is a great car, specially for the Minnesota winters thanks to their AWD and rust protection. Interior and exterior are awesome, great quality, cool design. Very ergonomic and lots of space (front, back and trunk). I also enjoy the treatment at the dealership, very friendly and fast. I am very glad I bought this car.

Pleasantly surprised - 1999 Audi A6
By Not a car expert - April 9 - 2:00 amMy wife really wanted this car -- I had favored a purchase of a Volvo. Now, we both enjoy the vehicle and find it incredibly comfortable, no hassle to maintain, and good to look at. It is true "German engineering" at its best in a reasonably priced package.

4 years and still impressed - 1999 Audi A6
By Audi - March 3 - 2:00 amIve owned this car since new in 1999. The car exceeds my expertations in reliability and quality. No problems to date & I get 25MPG on the highway. I just wish it had 30 more horsepower and a sport suspension.
