  • Better Than Any Other - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

I had an 98 A4 and loved it. Traded for a 00 Lexus GS300 4 mnths ago and liked it, but had to go back to the Audi. Drove the A6 2.7T and fell in love w/ it. Audi makes the best cars (great performance w/ luxury style). Best car in the market under $80k. You have power, performance, and tight (but not too tight) suspension.

  • Happy and driving - 2004 Audi A6

I had many friends who owned Audis in the past circa mid 80s. THey loved the performance and hated the maintainence problems. I waited some fifteen years. I love the car. So far, 16,000 miles and counting I have had no appreciable problems. The regular service has been incredibly good, punctual, and reliable. Actually, they have even been kind. I would strongly recommend this car. A6 and A6 allroad.

  • BMW nut has been converted! - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

The Audi A6 has a beautiful interior and a very nice exterior, even though it is in its last model year. At first it did not seem as fast as my 2000BMW540, but then I looked in the rear view mirror and realized that it is ever bit as fast, however the All Wheel Drive tends to fool you a bit. With the front wheels pulling while the rear wheels are pushing you dont get quite the sensation of acceleration that you tend to get in a rear wheel drive. Very smooth, very fast and great traction in bad weather.

  • THE NEW CLASS LEADER - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

AFTER REVIEWING ALL OTHER MAKES & MODELS IN THIS CLASS, BY FARE THIS IS NOW THE INDUSTRY LEADER.THIS CAR HAS BEST STYLING, PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY. THE BMW 5 SERIES WILL COST ABOUT $20,000.00 MORE FOR THE SAME AMENITIES, AND THE NEW TRUCK DESIGN DOESNT WORK. IT LOOKS LIKE IT BELONGS TO ANOTHER CAR. THE M-BENZ E CLASS IS ABOUT $13,000.00 MORE. BUYING OPTIONS IS LIKE, BUYING A CHEVY. EACH ITEMS IS SOLD SEPERATELY.DRIVING THE PRICE UP. ALSO QUALITY HAS DROOPED OFF IN RECENT YEARS. IAM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PURCHASE, THE CAR NEVER LETS YOU DOWN. VOLVO & JAGUAR HAD A HARDER RIDE A SMALL REAR SEATS.

  • audi eats the gas - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

My Audi A6 gets me exactly 14.5 miles to the gallon. The dealership (Legend in Amityville)is absoulutely useless. They dont honor the loaner agreement and they try there hardest to make ownership a miserable experience. #1 AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP #2 The car is a gas guzzler.

  • Model Update Needed - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

I have owned 4 A6s and find the new 3.0 to have lost substantial refinement. The engine although adding 20 horsepower feels crude when compared to the 2.8 and sounds as if it is working too hard.Even the brushed alluminum gear shift plate has been reduced in size over the older models and the fabric covering the gear shift and the steering wheel is a very coarse space age product I would expect to find on a non luxury vehicle. The model is showing its age. Time for a new one.

  • Audi Encore - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

This is my second 2.7T. I took advantage of an early lease turnback offer from Audi. I had my first one for 3 years and experienced no problems with the car. It is fun to drive, especially in tiptronic mode, and is amazing in wet and snowy conditions. I never had a wheel spinning incident in 3 years which I cant say for many front wheel drive cars I have owned in the past. This new A6 I just got feels like a tighter more refined version of my old one and the Onstar /satellite radio is really cool!

  • 2004 Audi A6 4.2 is a thrill to own - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

I purchased the 2004 A6 4.2. It has the premium sound package, including the XM ssatellite radio system. It really goes in the snow. I had a 2001 Lexus GS430 This car is just as cushy and powerful. The interior is well laid out. All the driver info is displayed in the middle of the dash, ahead of the steering wheel. I can keep my eyes ahead and know the time and which radio station is playing. The exterior styling is graceful, but not overbearing. One caveat, If youreconsidering a built-in navigation system, get the Magellan Roadmate 700 gps unit instead. Audis unit is inferior.

  • Love the car - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

I own two BMWs (540 and 328ci) and enjoy many of the features in the A6 more. I looked at the BMW 545, but was sold on the all wheel drive of the audi. Other features between BMW and Audi were comparable on whole. I love the car which is solid and fun.

  • What a great car - 2004 Audi A6
    By -

This car is great. The CVT makes it a quick vehicle. The vehicle is very stable at all speeds. Road noise is minimal and you have to be careful or you will find yourself well over the speed limit. Workmanship is excellent and the German engineers have put a lot of functionality into this model. Its a much better value than the BMW 5 series, not to mention Mercedes Benz. A German automobile and a very reasonable price.
