Stretch an A4 platform, add rounded styling with plenty of edges for character, toss in a sumptuously comfortable interior available in several "atmosphere" styles, blend it all with traditional Germanic handling and what do you get? The excellent new Audi A6 sedan. Our only quibble is with the taillights, which appear to have been inspired by the Chevrolet S-10 pickup. The wagon is carried over from 1997.

Security - 1998 Audi A6
By Quatt - August 23 - 12:21 amI owned this car for 2 years now and as I am speaking I dont know where it is now. It has been stolen 4 times now. If you live in a bad neighborhood, this is not the right car for you. Even a baby can steal this car. Other than that everything else is superb with this car. Fun to drive but starts shaking once you hit 80.

By BFOSTER89 - July 26 - 10:29 amI own a 1998 Audi A6 Quattro wagon with 250,000 miles and I trust this car to take me anywhere I traded my much loved 98 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer for it I get great gas mileage and its very comfortable I recently drove it from Mich to Va on a tank of gas I would recommend this car to anyone. I have never had to put this car in the shop.

Great Car - 1998 Audi A6
By Great Car - December 29 - 5:55 pmI love this car! That said it takes a lot of money to keep it well feed and healthy. I bought it at a charity auction (Never buy from one, trust me). The car was low miles and a great price. Two months later the transmission went out and cost over 3k to fix. Once she was up and running again, its been great.

Cute and Diverse - 1998 Audi A6

It handles better then my other cars and speedy as well. It moves nicely, brakes great, and is very comfortable. Make sure you take yours to a person who knows Audis. I didnt and got a higher quote then if I went to the guy who did know what he was talking about.

Strong engine, good fuel economy, go-anywhere AWD, luxurious interior (leather & real wood!) with everything at your fingertips, tiptronic transmission. I can ride in this car for hours w/o any backache.

Affordable Luxury - 1998 Audi A6

However, after a test drive I fell in love with the A6 and bought it anyway. Now a year and 28,000 miles later Im still very pleased with the car.

I recomend it.
