Problems with My A6 - 2005 Audi A6
By Scuba87756 - November 30 - 8:20 pmI just picked up my new 2005 Audi A6 3.2. After only about 50 miles the transmission began to act up. The engine would race to 7,000 rpm in first gear or would not shift at all. After parking it in my driveway for a short time, I could not back it out because it felt as if the parking brake was locked.

Buy anything else! - 2005 Audi A6
By Rhyse - September 3 - 10:18 amI bought an A6 CPO vehicle last May thinking that I was buying a premium vehicle and a premium dealer experience. Wrong on both accounts. In the first 6 months my car was at the dealers service department for 30 days total with not much to show except more frustration and gray hair than I would have liked. The car drives and handles like a dream, however, the cacophony of squeaks, groans, creaks and rattles from the interior is enough to drive a sane man to insanity!

Buyer Beware - 2005 Audi A6
By Buyer Beware - June 12 - 1:21 amI made the mistake of buying the A6 with the V8 and the Sports Suspension. This car is better with standard suspension and all season tires for sure. The combo I bought makes the car ride way too stiff. Also - the outside temp indicator randomly malfunctions and reads 15-20 degress lower than the temp really is. Seems that this is occuring when the A/C is on. Dealer refuses to do anything because it doesnt happen when they have the car. The automatic transmission is the worst I have ever driven - it switches way to fast when starting from a stop. THere is no vent only setting on the climate control - I have never heard of such a thing!!

2005 Audi A6 Nightmare - 2005 Audi A6
By Darrell Brown - February 14 - 8:17 pmI purchased the 2005 A6 on 11/22/04. It has been the absolute worst car purchase Ive ever made. Since the purchase I had a total of 5 separate issues, including issues with the seats, loud engine noise, car needing to warm up when first starting, and both front seats shaking and rattling. While everyone at the dealership is professional, there is a level of defensiveness that exists. Their first reaction is that there is nothing wrong with the car, its the driver. Ive had 7 cars in the last 10 years and Ive never experienced these many issues. The worst part is that the customer advocates in Mich are unresponsive & not helpful. I wrote to the VP on 1/3.
