Overview & Reviews
Audi brings the A3 four-door hatchback to our shores for 2006.
- Best automatic transmission around, great driving dynamics, versatile interior space, powerful and sophisticated engine.
- Cargo and rear-seat legroom a bit tight, price can get quite steep with dazzling options.

Perfect car for us - 2006 Audi A3
By TigerZH - September 20 - 6:13 amThis car is so fun to drive, everyday commute or trip to mountain. 6-speed DSG with 200 HP works like a dream, you dont feel a thing when it shifts. We are big fan of hatchback (or so called compact wagons) Cabin looks or feels great. We factory ordered our Silver, DSG, premium, sound, cold weather Pkg and open sky. We are pretty happy to pay 31K for it plus 2.9% APR.

Great car! - 2006 Audi A3
By Dan - July 3 - 8:36 pmJust test drove the A3 6-sp manual and was pleasently surprised. The engine is great, inside is beautiful. Outside design is one of the best for the hatch. The car is a dream, smooth, quiet, fast, comfortable. It was 4 of us in the car, including a child seat in the back, behind the passenger, and enough room. With all of us and full tank, the car is accelerating in the 6th gear.

wonderful - 2006 Audi A3
By UCLA Driver - February 18 - 11:10 pmI have had this car for about three weeks and I love it. Coming from a Camry family it has been like traveling to a new world with the amount of handling and road grip the Audi has especially on the winding souther california roads. The powerseats of the premium are really the only things I wish I could have withy my sports package. But really, the interior is classy and functional, the leather doesnt get really hot in the sun, and I have black ext. and black int. The only thing you have to get used to is that the car is slightly jumpy when you hit the gas, and when you park it rolls a couple of inches. The other options I got were the open sky and xenon headlights and the DSG.

This car rocks!!! - 2006 Audi A3
By Washington Egas - November 12 - 12:43 amI was in the market for an SUV and when I saw the gas mileage you get on those things I started to look for something different and came across this beauty. The handling is amazing, the drive, the features I got my with the GPS and of course the gas mileage is better than I expect, plus every one turns their heads when they see it.

Awesome Car - 2006 Audi A3
By Dan - September 24 - 12:23 pmWe were looking for a car that would be both practical and fun - and we found it. None of the competitors came close to the combination of fuel economy, great handling, fast acceleration, good looks, practical storage space, and overall fun in the upper 20s price range. All I can say is that we love this car - its all about fahrvegnuggen!

Great Car So Far! - 2006 Audi A3
By Northern VA John - April 21 - 5:36 amI have had my A3 for 2 months now, without any problems or concerns. Handles great, plenty of power, and pretty good gas mileage, 25 city, 28 overall. The Bose audio is great, hearing parts of songs that I have not heard without headphones. Only a few items to consider. First, the rear hatch / storage is pretty little; so little that I had to take out the woods to get my golf bag in and had to angle my driver to get it to fit. I also probably would not get the navigation system, it works fine, but there are handheld devices that are a lot less expensive. For guys over 61" it might be a bit small, plus the back seat would be tight for adults, but not my kids.

Proud Owner - 2006 Audi A3
By domenico - March 10 - 4:10 pmI cant find anything bad to say about it. Its been in Italy for over 6 years and just got here in the States. I test drove it, fell in love with it and bought it 2 weeks later. Its fun to drive, and the exterior makes a statement every time you see it. The interior is very comfortable, typical Audi style. Great buy, great fuel economy. I just got the base model, and it came with all the features I wanted. No leather, but great character!
