I love this car. We traded in our 2003 BMW 3 series because we saw the car sitting at the dealership and were looking for a car with more room. We drove it and fell in love with it instantaneously. The interior is beautiful, the power and handling is great and we get over 31 mpg! The rear seats fold flat giving you a cargo hole that can almost hold a dryer!! The rear seating is a little short on leg room, but the BMW wasnt any better.

This car is a solid ride, nimble both in speed and in the turns. The steering is the smoothest I have ever driven. There is a slight pause in quick acceleration but the car is very fun to drive. The interior is comfortable and the features are readily accessible and intuitive. For me it is the perfect size, great performance and a great look. I have looked at several different cars over the past few years (before finally giving up the Honda) and there is no contest for this car in the under 30k market.

The Audi A3 sportback is a great vehicle to own and drive. With a great engine, good fuel economy, and stylish European looks, the 2006 Audi A3 sportback really lives up to its name as a SPORTback. It is an awesome first car.

After initially looking for an SUV, this purchase was a great decision. The A3 is a blast to drive, particularly when using the DSG transmission. The Open-sky is very cool and keeps the whole interior bright but slightly noisy when open. The Bose stereo is imperative. Im 60 and have a little trouble finding a comfortable seat position, but thankfully have the auto driver seat. The only problem I have with the car is the narrow space between the brake and accelerator pedals where I often kick the brake when trying to reach the accelerator.

  • the first car Ive every really loved - 2006 Audi A3

I had been waiting for a couple of years, for a sporty, upscale, SMALL car. To me the WRX is unrefined, the RSX too impractical, and Mazda 3 is nice, but somewhat cheap feeling. So this was the car for me, and I couldnt be happier with it. There are so many thoughtful details that arent obvious at first that make this car really special. For example, it comes with 2 different keys, and for each key, remembers the last setting on the dual-climate control. It is so fun to drive, full of safety features, and has plenty of room in back with the seats down (my dog approves!)

  • Best Decision We Ever Made - 2006 Audi A3

This is a fabulous car! Worth every penny that we spent on it. Our model has the 2.0t with the DSG transmission. It is extremely fun to drive whether its around town or on the highway, and it has ample room for adult passengers in the back seat! We really didnt want to buy a fuller sized wagon, but this car is a big car in small shoes. Plenty of room, plenty of versatility... with the handling of a sports car. If you are in the market for a car of this type, consider the Audi A3. It wont disappoint you!

  • Awesome Euro Car - 2006 Audi A3

Outstanding Car. 6spd Manual is where it is at, but apparently the DSG is nice. Sport Package and Xenon headlights are a must. Premium sound is nice too. Handles like a dream. Great engine. Classy yet sporty interior.

Base trim. This is a great ride. Power always ready to go. DSG has best automatic program ever. Superb brakes. Real-world space for adults. Sticks to road like quattro. Superior fit and finish. Top-quality plastics and cloth. Nits: Watch the throttle in traffic. Power can come in a rush, you’re on the bumper of the car in front in no time. Body lean adds thrilling feel of danger in cornering. Low seat, roof, small glass = closed-in feeling. Boxy sounding stereo, radio reception among the worst. Fussy HVAC system if you want manual control. Shallow ‘trunk, seats dont go flat. Surprising drivetrain and tire noise. Manual seat controls are pure 80’s econobox, laughable here.

I use to own a 83 Audi 4000s God I loved that car until it die with over 200k miles on it, ever since I wanted another audi but the A4 just did not appeal to me, now the A3 it just called my name and had to have it. Love the car is fast and agile and very convenient, I love the look on those BMW and SUV owners when they look at it with a gaze.

  • Nice, practical, Little, fun car. - 2006 Audi A3

It is a very nice, peppy car with a turbocharged four, and still gets a 25 mpg int the city and 32 on the highway. Acceleration a bit jerky at the beginning, but once you are in seconds gear, the power starts pouring out. I was very impressed with the DSG automatic transmission, the shifts were so fast I did even feel the car jolt as it did it. Nice exhaust note for a 4 cylinder, and its looks are somtimes missed in a bland color, and arent truely appreciated until you see the car in the brillant red color, (my color). It truely brings out the coolness of the car.
