Acura adds XM Satellite Radio, heated door mirrors and a four-way power passenger seat to the standard features list. The steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls are now illuminated.

Pros:
  • An engine that loves to rev and sounds good doing it, sharp handling, slick six-speed manual transmission, upscale interior look and feel, long list of standard equipment, top-of-the-line navigation system for those who want it.
Cons:
  • Forgettable styling, not much power until the engine gets revved up.

  • Nice Car - 2005 Acura TSX

Although I fell in love w/all the luxury that came standard in the car, I was not impressed with the body style. I added a spoiler and tint and was very impressed. The only problem is the handling. The steering is very hard to turn. I think it is very impressive for a 4-cyl lux car.

  • Am I the only one with problems! - 2005 Acura TSX

I seem to be alone after reading these reviews. I have had many problems with my TSX. It has been back to the dealer more than I can count for multiple problems. The biggest problem of all being the wheels on the car constantly being out of aliment, balance, or bent. Seems the car can not handle normal driving on highways in the east. Other problems encountered: Peeling finish on wheels, rusting sill plates in doors, broken power seat, Light out on heated seated, speedometer whines when driving it all the time, mirror shakes while driving, Recall for wiring. Not sure what to do anymore! What happens when the warranty is over. Seriously thinking about trading it in.

  • Nice car, but a four cylinder - 2005 Acura TSX

I was talked into buying this car by my brother - he wanted me to have something "reliable". I have no real complaints about it other than the headlights - they have to be turned on and off and the halogen headlights have other drivers constantly flashing their lights at me - thinking I have my brights on when I dont. Also, you cant open the windows when its raining because the water comes in. Its quick for a four cylinder but too slow for my taste (I drove Pontiac Bonnevilles for years and am now wishing I had purchased another one.) Ill be trading it in after two years for a faster car. I got better gas mileage on the highway with my Bonnevilles than I do with this vehicle.

Incredible features for the price. Aggressive styling. Roomy in front. Negative feature is location of Drivers power door lock button - should be by door handle.

  • Buy the Accord - 2005 Acura TSX

I was preparing to replace my Honda Accord and wanted to move up. The TSX doesnt feel any smaller, but the backseat is a full 2-inches smaller for legroom. While 2 inches may not seem like much, it matters when you have children. Then theres the matter of power. This car does not zip. The Accord V6 has 40 more HP, and gets the same gas mileage. If youre going to compare - the Accord V6 with Nav is more comparable to the TL, not the TSX. The TSX feels more like a spiffy Civic.

  • Just torn... - 2005 Acura TSX

It has been almost a year since I got my TSX, and I love it. Navi is great, but fuel economy is not what it is hyped to be. Exterior design is pretty blah and for the price i expect more HP! overall it has been amazingly reliable and a great car. The delay before being able to use navi, radio, or AC is pretty annoying especially when Im in a hurry.. however the Navi has never failed me. As fun as it is to frive and as reliable and affordable (concidering all the ammenities) it could use some improvement...

  • Nice car for ages 26-32 with kids - 2005 Acura TSX
    By -

After a long search for a new car that would give me what I wanted for the right price. I choose TSX in Feb, at $26,200 out of 29,600 thanks to Edmunds. The only problems I have had so far is the transmission. Other then that the car has been great. The people at Lynnwood Wash treated me and my family with respect and GREAT service. Something you dont see anymore. Ohh I bought the car out right which made it easier to find a great rate.

  • Fun to Drive - 2005 Acura TSX

My TSX is 6 months old and the Mike has quit working. Part has been out of stock for 3 weeks. Other than that I love my car. Great acceleration, smooth transmission. I also like the firm steering. I took a friend for a ride and she said it feels like the seats "hug" you. The Navigation is awesome! If you have ever been to a City or State and you dont know where to eat or need a gas station, no problem.

After comparing many other near luxury wannabes, I found the TSX to represent exceptional value for my hard-earned money. I had owned a TLS and really loved it. WDP with Parchment interior. I dumped it for a lower monthly payment and for the glass fog lamps that continually needed replacement @ $300. The TSX is made in Japan. Looking at other imported product, it seems to have suffered a little in build quality when the point of manufacture is transferred to North America. I wish someone from the automobile industry could speak on this issue. We want to support our local workers.

  • Good buy! but minor problems - 2005 Acura TSX
    By -

I bought this car after reading all the reviews and forums I can find. Everyone said its great, but no one ever saidanything about the TSX brakes. IMO, I think the brakes can be more responsive. I had a 97 civic before this car, and it seems TSXs brakes slower in stopping than my civic. Now, I have to plan ahead in stopping. Another problem is the speedometer. The 40 mph mark is placed at what another car would be at 20 mph. You got to be driving above 60 mph in order to see the needle above the 9oclock mark. That makes driving in city a pain, since the needle position causes me to feel I am going like 20 mph.
