Acura adds XM Satellite Radio, heated door mirrors and a four-way power passenger seat to the standard features list. The steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls are now illuminated.

Pros:
  • An engine that loves to rev and sounds good doing it, sharp handling, slick six-speed manual transmission, upscale interior look and feel, long list of standard equipment, top-of-the-line navigation system for those who want it.
Cons:
  • Forgettable styling, not much power until the engine gets revved up.

  • A truly wonderful automobile - 2005 Acura TSX

Ive owned this car for over a month so far and cannot be happier with my decision to buy it. I had cross-shopped this vehicle with the BMW 3-series (reliability concerns and much less value for money), Audi A4 (again, less value for the money), Lexus IS 300 (too small) and Mazda6 (inferior build quality). No other vehicle was comparable to the all-around the performance, quality, and features found in the TSX. The power is excellent especially for a 4-cylinder engine, and the handling is taut and precise. The interior is very nicely appointed, and the car comes fully loaded. I opted against the only option - the navigation feature as I didnt think it was necessary for my needs.

  • Great car!! - 2005 Acura TSX

The car does seem to use a lot of gas for its size; good acceleration from stop; fun to drive you dont even notice the engine straining at high speeds (this is how I got my first speeding ticket); I got one foggy headlight (inside) that I had to have the dealer fixed but its no big deal; the radio control on the steering wheel is kind of squeaky; spacious trunk compartment. Overall this is a great car!

  • Best 4 on market - 2005 Acura TSX

The TSX handles well and has a great 4 engine which does best at high RPMs. This makes it fun to drive particularly in the manual shift mode. The interior is well laid out with everything you would want standard.

  • solid fun! - 2005 Acura TSX

This is a GREAT value. Precise, tossable, high quality materials and understated. I have owned an Accord, 99 Passat, Infiniti G, Acura Legend, Maxima... this a superb combination of the best of most worlds - quick, jewel- like 6 spd, joyful handling and smooth. The 03 Accord I traded was the best overall car I ever owned and the TSX significantly ups the fun to drive factor as well as a few extra goodies. It would be good if it didnt require premium. The sound system is excellent and black leather with titanium-look accents is gorgeous. I drove it 1200 miles this weekend-superb!

I bought my TSX last year in August and so far its been a great car. I compared several cars and found this one to be the best one. The TSX is cheaper than other foreign competitors and has more standard features.

  • This Car is a 10 - 2005 Acura TSX

The car looks Great and is fun to drive. Well built and reliable. Fuel mileage is ok but the power makes up for the average fuel mileage. Overall its the best car Ive ever owned!

Ride is not as soft as my V-6 Accord, but handles much better. 4 cylinder has decent torque, but accelerates better @ freeway speed rather than o-60

  • a better car - 2005 Acura TSX
    By -

Ive had this car since Jan. 2004 and so far everything went fine until recently the tail lights were not working properly. It was due to the Harness Recall. The front right headlight seal broke or was not properly packed when assembled at the factory since water was filtering to the headlight. The front right axle boot had a cut so it had to be replaced. The TSX is not as fuel efficient as estimated. It will go only 330 miles with a full tank. The sound system needs some work. The car needs more power. After all if you are looking for an entry level luxury car this is is for you. Since the chances are you will not find anything like a TSX for less.

  • All-around perfection - 2005 Acura TSX

Although I normally would balk at paying $27,000 for a four cylinder, this isnt so here. Its so smooth, actually more so than my old 1996 Acura 3.2 TLs 3.2-liter V-6. The interior is very clean. Many dismiss the exterior as boring, but I find it quite attractive. And its just dripping with features.

  • A more sporting TL? - 2005 Acura TSX
    By -

This car has been my biggest surprise of the year. I needed to replace my wifes 92 Legend, and I was dead set on the TL after having previously driven one. But after discovering that many of the TL features had been added to the TSX for 05, I became curious about it. I had my doubts that the 4 cylinder would be satifying, but after the first mile, I found that it far exceeded my expectations. What surprised me most was the nimble feeling of the chassis which made it much more fun to drive than the more powerful TL. Throw in better mileage, and a $6000 dollar savings, and the answer became perfectly clear - TSX!
