The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.

  My choices came down between the G-35, Lexus 330 and the TL. The TL provides the best blend of sport and luxury in this class. The hands free link and navigation system is awesome! 5.1 surround sound will blow you away. I also added the spoiler on the back to give an even more sporty look. Only real negative is lack of fuel economy performance. I have put about 800 miles on the car so far. However, overall value is still excellent!

  Great car, fun to drive, and fast. The blue tooth phone is a great feature to have on a manual car so I do not have to fumble with silly headsets. I wish more music would come out on DVD-A, however sound system is very nice. I enjoy this car every day I drive it.

  If this car had less assisted steering it would have been one of the funnest to drive sport sedan. It has all the other elements such as roadholding ability, firm suspension, the looks, build quality, and all the convenience package. Over assisted power steering simply spoiled it. Too bad.

  More for your money - 2004 Acura TL

  I looked at all of the cars in this class for months and beat up the internet with all types of comparisons. I almost purchased the Infiniti G35 and the Cadillac CTS. However, the interior on the G35 looked too cheap and I am still afraid of GMs reliabilty. For the money value and projected reliability you just cant beat the Acura. When all other manufacturers option you to death, Acura gives it all to you for one price. But, thats okay because the manual operation is great. The power of the TL is unbelievable and it is fun to drive. The last car I looked at before I purchsed the TL was the new 5 series BMW. I was not impressed with the styling.

  This car is awesome! We traded in a 2003 Infiniti G35 ( great looks, lousy service and brake problems) and were looking at the 2004 530i( I drive a 300CI) until we drove the TL, WOW! not quite the 530i, but for the difference of 24k, I could learn to live with the lighter steering and lighter transmission! BMW better check their review view morriors!

  The new TL is a great car. The interior is unmatched and Ive always been an Audi fan. I bought the Acura TL because it is by and far the most value-packed car that I test drove and its a complete joy to drive. The stereo is amazing-the dash is layed out perfectly and the seats are supportive and luxurious...you need to test this one out if you re looking at Audi, Lexus or Infinity...

  Most definetely the best car I ever owned. I considered the BMW 325i, but there was no comparison in terms of features or reliability. I really enjoy the DVD surround sound system. Sound inside the car is like being in a concert hall. There is nothing out there like the TL for $33,000. Car has power, elegance and comfort.

  I have seen, tested and owned many performance cars. I wasnt even going to buy an Acura, let alone a TL because I was looking at all so- called "performance luxury cars" - IS300, G35, A4, BMW 530i, etc. In fact, I was testing the TSX at the time. What a surprised - saw a TL in the showroom, test drove it & loved it! The rush of power as you floor the pedal, very poised, quiet & buttery smooth engine, etc. Also, stop comparing this car to a BMW330i, its an insult as its closest competitor is a BMW530i that costs more for about the same performance.
