  After a test drive in 04 TL,I was fortunite enough to convince my son-in- law to assume the remaining two years of my "03 BMW 330xi lease. TL is FAR SUPERIOR to 330 in almost every category..for $12,000. less!! Horsepower, torque, braking, styling, interior, comfort,roominess, and especially State of the art content like Bluetooth, XM satellite radio,etc.

  I just purchased my 2004 TL this afternoon. Its my second, my first being a 2000 which we kept. The TL still rates as a great value even if they have raised the price a bit. The fuel economy is excellent considering the engine makes 270 hp but the premium fuel requirement is unfortunate given the current prices. This version is much improved over the last generation. I think Acura has really put some distance between the TL and the Lexus ES 330. But they still wont let me take control of the first to second shift with the automatic transmission. That detracts from the fun a bit.

  I love it fun to drive and unbelievable interior. The interior is nicer than some of the $60000 cars in the upper levels.

  One year and 20,000 miles of ownership have been totally trouble free. Engine flexibility, driveability and power are excellent. Throttle tip-in is flawless. Shift quality is excellent, in terms of down- and upshifting response, smoothness and proper gear selection. Gear transitions are very quick, smooth and transient-free. Ride is noticeably stiffer than my 2001 ES 300 over rough or broken surfaces, but very smooth at freeway speeds. Mileage has been a surprise, average for the 20,000+ miles is slightly over 25, with 30+ mpg highway the norm (calibrated odometer).

  Acura has done a fine job with its redesign of the TL. This sport sedan has to be a winner for Acura. Smooth handling, excellent acceleration, nice appointments add to the joy of driving this vehicle. I have owned my TL for a month and cant say that there is a day when I wish I had looked further. Overall, I expect miles and miles of pure driving pleasure with the new TL.

  The 2004 Acura TL is the best in its class. I have driven an Infiniti I35, Lexus I 330, Mercedes E320, BMW 530, none of this vehicles drive like this "legend".

  The 2004 TL is my third Acura, and I can say that its the best model yet. What drew me to the new TL was the total redesign. The previous TLs always looked plain and conservative. Acura created a handsome, sporty sedan that can now compete with the BMW in overall looks and features. The car has much more power, a smoother ride, and handles curves much better than the previous CL and TL models. The interior of the car is very modern and contemporary. I purchased the Abyss Blue exterior with camel interior. The blue glow of the dashboard really complements the exterior color of the car nicely.

  I WAS LOOKING FOR A SPORTS CAR LIKE A VETTE, BUT I NEEDED THE REAR SEATS. I DROVE THE BMW 5, THE C AND E CLASS MERCEDES,AND THE INFINITY G35 BUT I WASNT IMPRESSED. I WENT TO THE ACURA DEALERSHIP JUST FOR FUN TO LOOK AT THE NSX. THATS WHEN I SAW THE TL. ITS A PERFECT BALANCE OF SPORT, PERFORMANCE, AND LUXURY. IVE HAD IT FOR A MONTH NOW AND IM STILL LOOKING FOR REASONS TO GO SOMEWHERE JUST TO DRIVE.

  Ive had the car for six weeks and 2200 miles and am very impressed. Acceleration and handling are first- rate, making it the most fun car Ive owned. Styling is excellent. Interior look and feel are great, with very good front and rear seat room. Content and technology are class-leading. Build quality is excellent - no squeaks or rattles. Put it all together and the new TL is the best under $35k car available.
