Overview & Reviews
The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.
- Luxurious interior, long list of standard equipment, powerful V6 engine, slick-shifting six-speed manual, pleasant blend of ride comfort and fun.

What a Car! - 2004 Acura TL
By cherokeedriver - November 21 - 10:00 amLove the Acura TL. Drives like a dream. Torque steer is very manageable. Waiting to see how it does in the winter. The XM radio and sound quality is amazing. The pricing was surprisingly affordable for the options available.

The perfect car - 2004 Acura TL
By CaB - November 21 - 10:00 amIve owned many cars, the TL is the best Ive ever had. I can drive it in the wet at high speeds and cruise in comfort on a calm day. The dealership and service is spectacular, every single issue is addressed with a feeling of partnership.

Best in Class - 2004 Acura TL
By St Louis Cardinals - October 25 - 2:00 amWe looked at the I-G35, 5 series, Audi A6 and Volvo S80. Hands down this beat them all with the best overall ride, performance, comfort and style. You could get better handling and speed from the 540 but it will cost you 15k more. For the $$ this is the best car. WE LOVE IT!

2 weeks - 2004 Acura TL
By Gemini-04TL - October 25 - 2:00 amMy review of this car is that its a excellent car!!!!!!!! This car is a everyday drivers car. I drove it into Manhattan from downtown to uptown and this car did just fine in the cold NYC streets with holiday traffic. Navigation and Xm radio surround sound was excellent they worked great. The 2004 TL is a car you can live with for everyday use. I havent had a chance to push that gas to the floor since it has only 340 miles on it but Im sure I wont be disappointed. Performance and luxury in a great package. So far no complaints!!

Incredible Car - 2004 Acura TL
By lakeman - October 25 - 2:00 amAfter looking at all the cars in the entry luxury sport catagory, I was blown away by this car. It is fast, handles extremely well (with the HPT package) and is better looking than just about anything out there. The Navigation is great, and the stereo is the best I have ever heard. The real beauty of this car is that it is equally a sports car and a luxury car and gives up very little in the deal. The interior rivals the best Lexus and Mercedes. The build quality is surpurb, and the value is phenomonal.

Final Steps For True Performance Car - 2004 Acura TL
By 3603 - October 25 - 2:00 amWith only a couple of changes the TL will become a true sports car. First, rear wheel drive is a MUST! Secondly, more torque. Even with the 270 hp, only 238 pound of torque, it does not have the feel of the G35 coupe (which was the other car I was looking at). 18" performance tires and rims as an option rather than an expense accessory, almost $1,800, is the final item. I purchased the TL for the total package; performance, ride and comfort. If the choice was for performance only the G35 would win hands down.

Great car for the price - 2004 Acura TL
By KenK - October 19 - 2:00 amGreat car for the price but there are a few detail issues keeping from becomming an exceptional car. Tires are an issue..Poor traction. Rear seats need to fold down..not enough room in the trunk. Cup holder is a P.I.T.A.. Annoying hum (harmonics) when cruising at 50-60 mph.(low rpms in high gear) I thought that maybe this was just my car but it was on all TLs that I tested. Cant hear beep when using the door lock button on the remote. Over all nice car. Alot of this is nit-picking.

Great car - great value - 2004 Acura TL
By slzmd - October 14 - 10:00 amHaving just turned in my 2001 3.2 TL, I can say that Acura has outdone themselves with the new TL. More luxury, more power, better handling... and all at an outstanding price. The DVD Audio stereo is awesome and the included XM Satellite Radio means youll never have a problem finding a station. The build quality has been outstanding except for a little rattle. Despite criticism of the tires, I have had no problems. The car seems to stick to the road like glue regardless of the weather. A very enjoyable car!

30000 Miles and Still Love It - 2004 Acura TL
By Energy Man - October 14 - 4:20 amGreat car. BS Tires are a pain when cold were replaced at 6900 mi getting Michelin shortly. MPG has been right on EPA 21 city, 29 road, 25 overall. Car is driven hard but smoothly. Handles great, Nav saved me, will buy again. Finish is fabulous but it is easy to damage front air dams and scuff wheels. Needs a larger trunk. Seats are great once adjusted correctly. Audio fabulous, rather have iPod input than tape, love XM. Rattles minor (cause BS tires flatspot overnight). Dealer replaced seat memory, aligned fender seams, installed cooling jet in tranny. Even with BS tires the car handles like its on rails but pressures must be correct. Brakes are great. Still best buy, would buy again.

2004 tl - 2004 Acura TL
By tmh - October 8 - 10:00 amFun to drive whether its local roads or interstate. Great stereo. Perfer driving TL over other car(2004 330XI). Acceleration is smooth and strong. Interior noise level is minimal at low and high speeds. Engine quiet until you run hard. During hard acceleration car has a nice rumble. Torque thrust is no big deal. Riders in back seat are pleased with comfort, leg room.
