Overview & Reviews
The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.
- Luxurious interior, long list of standard equipment, powerful V6 engine, slick-shifting six-speed manual, pleasant blend of ride comfort and fun.

Awesome - 2004 Acura TL
By TL Lover - August 9 - 10:00 amI tried em all in this class and my friends, Acura is back. I expect a lot and this one delivers. Any negative reviews must come from those with an attitude against FRD vehicles

Do not let the exterior fool you. - 2004 Acura TL
By msdearus - August 9 - 10:00 amAcura TL has a niece new look but overall I am not satisfied with the car. The reviews Ive read before was right on point (I thought that previous purchasers were hard to please). Theres a rattling sound that comes from dash area (near the phone adapter plug) when the car accelerates. The leather is awful, Ive had the car since April 2004 and it looks like Ive had it for years. I do not have anyone the passenger seat is not used on a regular basis and it looks terrible. I am very cautious when placing items on my seats, matter of fact I do not items on the systems trying to avoid staining them.

Excellent car with some build issues - 2004 Acura TL
By tazman2058 - July 14 - 2:00 amThis is a fabulous car for the money. I considered a loaded 2004 BMW 330i before choosing the new 2004 TL. Features such as 270 HP, wonderful auto with stick shift, excellent sound system, slick navigation, voice control, and the $35k price tag sold me on the new TL. The TLs handling is about 70-80% of the 330i with sport package; auto to auto comparison. Had a number of build problems. In the first 1,200 miles, the car has been in the service department 3 times. The dealers service department provides excellent service. I do have a problem with a 35k new car rattling. The tech had to reinsulate all the cars doors plus added components.

Overall - Very Nice - 2004 Acura TL
By happy0506 - May 15 - 10:00 amIve had my TL for almost 6 months now and overall it has been very good. Its got plenty of power and is very smooth in acceleration. The interior is very well laid out and has almost every feature you could ever want. The interior dash lights up like a cockpit and the navigation system is awesome. I cant believe more cars dont have a navigation system. The screen is very big and the touch screen controls are very convenient.

Reliability/customer care could improve - 2004 Acura TL
By beh_rooz - May 15 - 10:00 amPerformance, tasteful interior, and slick exterior designs are the best features of this car. I chose the Acura TL over its German competitors because of reliability. However, I was let down when after two weeks the sound system started developing a severe static noise such that listening to anything in the car was unberable. I was further let down when the problem was not fixed after the car had been left with the dealer twice for several days. Going for the third time to see if they can figure the problem out. Not an enjoyable experience! So much for reliability and customer care :(

I miss my BMW - 2004 Acura TL
By angelika - May 15 - 10:00 amThis is a great car for a great price. Unfortunately, after driving only BMWs for the last 10 years, I miss my old car ! The ride is nowwhere as sooth and luxuries feeling than my old BMWs. It also needs a better armrest. My biggest complaint is the steering wheel columm. I am only 57, yet my knee always bumps on the steering wheel even though I have it on the highest setting. But, overall this is a great car for the price !

First Class Sports Sedan - 2004 Acura TL
By Shane Weast - April 19 - 2:00 amOutstanding smooth engine with no torque steer what so ever. Numerous full throttle accelerations(After 750 break-in miles)with no pull at all to the right. Very fast and smooth straight acceleration.
