This Year's Model Updates:

The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.

Pros:
  • Luxurious interior, long list of standard equipment, powerful V6 engine, slick-shifting six-speed manual, pleasant blend of ride comfort and fun.

I have driven the car a month and have enjoyed every minute of it. For the critics the car would be #1 if it had rear wheel drive. Handles great, even in the snow. Its fast, great sound system, impresive interior, lots of good gadgets. Great Value.

I test drove BMW 3 and 5 series, the Audi A4 and A6, and the Lexus ES 300. My "favorite" care handling wise was the BMW 530. But, after driving the TL, and reviewing all of its items that come standard, there was absolutely no comparison. By the time I added everything I wanted on the 530i, the total came to $53,000. The TL was already loaded for $32,500. Unbelieveable!! The is NO car on the road for that compares with the TL when it comes to its price relative to its speed, safety, looks, and reliability.

  • Great car so far - 2004 Acura TL

I love the styling and performance of this car. Upgraded from the 2002 TL type "S" with no regrets. Acura seems to have fixed nearly all the weaknesses with the older car. The DVD Audio system is fantastic, the best Ive ever heard in any car and the brakes are dramatically improved. The six speed manual transmission was not available on the older car and is wonderfully smooth. There is some torque steer when accelerating hard out of corners or on bumpy roads and Acura should think about making this an all wheel drive vehicle like their upcoming RL model. Overall an incredible car for the money.

  • Great Car, but small changes required - 2004 Acura TL

Great Car Fun to Drive and audio System is Unbelievable...Get a lot of folks who ask what it is, and think it must have been much more expensive. Only problems are: The 2 Door opening notches/stops are in wrong places--one too short, one too far. The Tilt Steering Wheel Bar needs to be moved from directly under the wheel to more on the side... Everyone hits their knees...

  • Awesome car, love it cant stop driving - 2004 Acura TL

It took me a while to finally decided to buy this car, but once I got it there is no regret. Everything is so perfect and I would love to keep this car for years. The dealership experience is awesome at Lindsay Acura, OH. I bought it at least 2000 cheaper than anywhere I asked. It is a head turner everywhere, try it and you will love it! The best car I have ever drive yet. I am only 23, but this car is a perfect fit for me! I will make the same choice no matter what.

THis is an incredible car. It is extremenly comfortable, quiet and fast. The Stereo sounds better than Bose and the handsfree link is great. The performance is outstanding. Im very happy I bought this even thought it was a little expensive.

  • Acura Hits A Homerun - 2004 Acura TL

Acura put everything in one neat package and at an affordable price. I was looking for a 2 door car. I was not crazy about the look of the CL (too bland). I was hoping they made it more sporty looking for 2004, only to find out it was no longer being made. I noticed the 2004 TL on the internet and instantly fell for it. Not only did it look good and was loaded for the price, but it also came in a stick shift. I did my research, compared it to BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, etc, and decided I was getting the most for my money along with Acura reliability.

  • WOW! - 2004 Acura TL

The new TL is nothing at all like the old TL. I owned a 2002 TL type "S". I bought this car without driving it in Chicago and had it delivered to my front door in MI. I currently have a BMW 330 Convertible with a Manual Trans, and this new TL will run circles around the BMW.I would definetly recommend this vehicle to anyone in the market for a reasonably priced luxury/performance sedan. Wait, NO I wont. I do not want everyone on the road to have this car.

  • Tops the competitors in all areas - 2004 Acura TL

Incredible car for the price. We drove the BMW 3 series, Infiniti G35, etc. The TL beat each and every competitor for hp, build quality, interior materials, interior room, features, and handling. The only thing Acura lacks at this time is the brand image, but with the TL, new TSX, and recent MDX, Acura may be a full fledged competitor in the luxury car line now!

  • Best Car I Ever Owned - 2004 Acura TL

GREAT CAR...wanted this car for awhile, finally got it this Jan. Just took it on a 4 hr road trip at 80 mph very nice ride...and 28 mpg not bad. Was very impressed with the whole package, overall quality, fit, finish, interior materials, smooth and comfortable ride but still sporty. Acura thought of just about eveything when putting this car together. And all for under 35K
