Overview & Reviews
The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.
- Luxurious interior, long list of standard equipment, powerful V6 engine, slick-shifting six-speed manual, pleasant blend of ride comfort and fun.

The Acura TL - 2004 Acura TL
By fredna - June 20 - 2:00 amThe best part of buying the Acura is the are no packages or extra to add on. The car comes fully loaded. It was great to deal with a knowledgable sales person wearing a suit and tie.

Great Car! - 2004 Acura TL
By Bob Latham - June 15 - 10:00 amThis is a really fun car. Very quiet, but really great acceleration. Beats a BMW 5 Series for value by a long shot.

TL - 2004 Acura TL
By mschneider956 - June 10 - 10:00 amThis automobile is far superior than the model it replaces. The standard features put the BMW to shame. The reliability is second to none.

Great new model. - 2004 Acura TL
By reiseman - May 14 - 2:00 amForced out of an older 3.2 TL (1996) due to an accident. Never wanted a new model but had excellent results with my old car. This car has no surprises and is running well. Most of my friends feel it is very similar in looks to the BMW 500 series. Great features for city driving with quick temperature control of cabin to memory drivers seat and mirrors. Should be great on the road with XM radio, 6- disc changer and fun accessories. The drive is easy to get use to. I would recommend to those wanting a luxury car with a sporty ride.

Worth the wait. - 2004 Acura TL
By Energy Man - May 14 - 2:00 amGlad I went with automatic. City traffic can be a leg killer. Handling is great, acceleration is fantastic, fit and finidh well above average. Trunk packs well and is efficient so dont let the absolute nukbers fool you. Road mileage is 28-31 and the car is a dream on trips. My combined mile is about 23-24. The options were exactly what I priced on all the competition (BMW 3, Infinity G35, Lexus ES330) so value for the dollar is very high on this car. I was considering the 2004 BMW 5 but the new looks, low power, and outrageous price soon knocked this one out of contention.

Best on the Road - 2004 Acura TL
By Joe Applegate - May 9 - 2:00 amThis car is probably the most advanced in its class and likely out performs cars in higher class. It powerful, economical, is technically advanced (you verbally communicate with the car), and has by far the best sound system I have ever heard in a car.

TL vs. 540i - 2004 Acura TL
By WAW - May 4 - 10:00 amI traded in a BMW 540i, because of the reviews and value. In every respect, except performance, the TL has been well worth the move. It rides more comfortably, is easier to drive, but still maintains the solid character of the German cars. If outright performance (read: boy racer) is less important (I have accepted I am no longer 23), then there is very little you give up in owning the TL (except an additional $20K).
