Overview & Reviews
The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.
- Luxurious interior, long list of standard equipment, powerful V6 engine, slick-shifting six-speed manual, pleasant blend of ride comfort and fun.

Oh Those Bridgestone Tires - 2004 Acura TL
By Brewster - September 13 - 7:16 pmThe harsh ride is partly the fault of the poor Bridgestone OEM tires. Acura Client Services reports to me that they are being buried with calls from Acura owners about these tires. The 2005 TL with NAV comes now with Michelins, but Acura has refused to allow its dealers to swap them out. They report Honda will have to make a policy decision before the dealers can replace them.

Thrilling Ride - 2004 Acura TL
By EdCincy - August 26 - 10:10 pmThis car is a thrilling blend of luxury and performance. The power of the engine is awesome, but has me wishing it was rear wheel drive because it would make the full throttle launches more fun. The transmission is so smart.I seldom have to use the manual shifter. It anticipates the exact gear I need. Best stereo system on the market. The DVD-Audio surround sound separation and clarity is amazing. I bought a Bluetooth phone to go with the car and it is truly hands-free and easy to use. If you want to have the latest in high-tech, this is your machine! My dealership experience from sales to service, including loaner cars and fast service processing has been excellent.

mxed opinion - 2004 Acura TL
By tlbuyer - August 8 - 2:00 amBought the car in october. Paid less than msrp. wife was swayed by the cars exterior, dash layout, amount of shoulder space, sound system and materials used. Car is quiet at low speeds but noisy at high speeds and on less than perfect roads. automatic torque transfer came in handy on icy road recently, drive-by-wire accelerator seems to have two distinct modes - not enough power at up to a certain point and, suddenly, lots after it.

Great Car - 2004 Acura TL
By wca2000 - August 8 - 2:00 amThe car is designed to envelope the driver. It is very comfortable. It has great power for those highway needs. Its handling around those winding corners of backroad driving is superb. Great car.

I love this car! - 2004 Acura TL
By drknapp - August 2 - 2:00 amThis is a great car. I test drove the G35 also and liked it too. But when I drove the TL I fell in love with it. Its interior is much nicer, The radio far exceeds the one in the G35. This car is just a blast to drive. I just cant seem to stop smiling.

Love my car but hoping for the best - 2004 Acura TL
By mejpj - August 2 - 2:00 amI have had my car three weeks. Bought it on a Saturday and had to bring it back by Tuesday. I have had to bring it in twice; navigation system has stopped functioning twice but now been promised a new navi, and also has had a lot of crackling noises in the interior. They also had to redo my ground effects bec it wasnt fitted right. ItÂ’s a fun car to drive and lots of power and very stylish. So far, I have been treated well by the service department but I do want my car in "NEW" condition. Now, I am banking on ACURAs reputation, reliability and quality to be as good as they say they are.

TL - Get a lot for the Money - 2004 Acura TL
By KDK777 - August 2 - 2:00 amFor the price, the 2004 TL is a bargin! Near top notch performance, significantly improved styling, Acuras normal high reliability and loads of options for thousands less than comparably equipted competitors! I looked at the BMW 530i, Lexus GS300 and Infinity G35 sedan. Hands down, the 2004 TL was the car for me!
