Overview & Reviews
The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.
- Luxurious interior, long list of standard equipment, powerful V6 engine, slick-shifting six-speed manual, pleasant blend of ride comfort and fun.

Why pay more ?? - 2004 Acura TL
By wnbresn - February 1 - 2:00 amLexus, BMer, Mercedes?? Nope this car has them all beat for what you get for the price. A week after I bought my car I had to drive it 1000 miles for my job and it made the whole trip a dream. I told the Nav system where I wanted to go and it got me there and with the XM Radio blasting on the comedy channel and others it made the drive sweet. Take any of the other luxury cars and put all the features that come standard on the TL into them and you end up paying a heck of a lot more than what I had to pay for my TL. You just cant go wrong with this

Still smilin - 2004 Acura TL
By MusicDoc - January 25 - 2:20 pmAlmost 2 years now and Im still totally enjoying my TL. Only problem has been a minor one (had a fidgety passenger window) and I wish the back seat folded down....but, oh well.....the rest of the car MORE than makes up for it.

As good as I hoped... - 2004 Acura TL
By flordebob - January 21 - 10:00 amI traded in my 2003 TL Type-S for the 2004 TL and couldnt be more pleased. As much as I loved my Type S, this car has it beat in every way. The excessive tire noise is gone and the generic-Honda styling has been replaced by a sexy European-looking design. The car has gobs of power and torque and sticks like glue even with the standard tires. Try the competition - this car gives you high- quality materials and a quality driving experience at a terrific price. And forget about the car magazines complaining about torque steer, its no big deal.

hot ride full with features but crappy.. - 2004 Acura TL
By 04acuraTL - January 15 - 10:00 amfun to drive, navigation is awesome user friendly and well worth the 2k, trouble areas-bluetooth phone fuel injectors, LEATHER QUALITY IS HORRID, and some misc fit and finish pieces...not too bad but be warned the leather is not COMPARABLE to other cars in class (poor design and cheap grade), acura has the cheapest leather and it shows after 3 mnths trust me...Client relations is not thorugh and not professional, also they say 7500 miles for oil changes but after 5k mile sthe car ran poorly...got oil changed and then it was fine....vibrtaion at hwy speeds now...window tint is a big issue- it will get scratched from win guide- acura tells u to buzz off..even if

4 months no issues - 2004 Acura TL
By NoRespect - January 9 - 10:00 amThis is my first car in 20 years (all trucks before)I love the acceleration, Interior, sound system (Ill never go back to FM), Gas Milage after 4 months town: 16mpg, HW:28mpg. Rain handling could be better, Houston highways can get pretty deep water. Different tires would help.

Great Car, Could Be Better!! - 2004 Acura TL
By Matthew Moen - January 9 - 10:00 amI bought my 2004 Anthracite TL A-SPEC with navigation system about three weeks ago. It handles very well and is a blast to drive! The interior is a quality seen more in higher end vehicles, excellent layout! Wish the MP3 player option available in the TSX came standard in the TL, after-all, this almost 2005 and lets get rid off the obsolete Tape Deck. I agree with Mr. Milliner though, I think as TL owners we should have more exterior options such as chrome door handle protectors that would really give the car a little more flash and the car should have indicator lights in the mirrors on the doors. I love the A-SPEC kit, the 18" Sparkle Silver High Performance Wheels! WoW!!!

One Year+ Update - 2004 Acura TL
By Brewster - January 2 - 10:54 amWe now have 21,000 miles on our TL. After solving the OEM Bridgestone tire problems by installing Michelins, all seems well. As long time Accord V6 owners, though, we have never become satisfied with the overly harsh ride. Our dealer is excellent but is aware of the ride problems for former Honda owners. While we love the car, especially the interior features, the ride really detracts from our overall pleasure. When Acura dropped the older TL and incorporated all the S model features into the new 2004 model, we lost our chance to have the smoother ride. All systems are functioning well and we have not had any excessive warranty items.

By autofanatic - December 20 - 2:00 amMy wife and I both love this car! It is eye-catching, has great handling and acceleration, and a phenomenal DVD- audio/nagigation system. We were looking for a classy, reliable, and fun to drive car...with all the standard options the price is hard to beat!
