Overview & Reviews
For 2003, all TL models equipped with the navigation system receive OnStar as standard equipment.
- Excellent value, comfortable front seats, impressive power from the Type-S engine, long list of standard equipment.
- Average interior materials, lacks the panache of some competing luxury sedans.

What a great car!!!!!! - 2003 Acura TL
By TbirdTony - May 30 - 2:00 amJust purchased a 2003 Acura 3.2TL in Firepepper Red Pearl. What a great car. The ride, steering, interior design, and brakes are top notch. The paint quality and fit are perfect. It is fun to drive and comes with every option standard. Check out this model if you are looking for a very nice sedan.

Best sport sedan for the money - 2003 Acura TL
By chipp1 - May 19 - 10:00 amI shopped around for this type of vehicle for over three months bouncing back and forth between BMW 325i and the G35 and the Acura type S. It came down to overall performance, ergonomics, standard features, and known reliability. Dollar for dollar the Acura beats the others hands down. I got the black pearl with chrome wheels with parchment interior, a beautiful combination. Nothing but compliments so far.

TL-S white- good value at $30K - 2003 Acura TL
By edmondso - May 12 - 2:00 amHaving lookes at Passat, Accord, Camry, and the TL, I went for the TL-S. I liked the TL, but it was short on headroom, so I went for the type S (the seat design is different, giving more headroom). The handling is very good, you can actually feel the road. Design is actually cool, according to my teenager. Have yet to use more than a fraction of the power, that could be interesting.

Cheap and fast - 2003 Acura TL
By gfeld - May 2 - 10:00 amThis has to be the most affordable sports sedan on the planet. Where else can you lease 260hp for a little more than $300/mo? A 2 dr accord is almost the same price. Why buy Honda when you can buy their luxury brand for not much more?

Its a nice car, but.......... - 2003 Acura TL
By honda tech - April 17 - 2:00 amim overall happy with the car, but found out one bad thing after purchasing the car. found out that some of them were leaking oil from the block. it is not a recall, and the customers are not informed about it. acuras fix for the leaking block is JB weld. this is very disappointing. if i were to find out mine were leaking oil, i would drive it till it ran out of oil. i would let the motor seize up so acura would have to warranty the whole motor.

Another happy TL owner - 2003 Acura TL
By s.lentz@verizon.net - March 25 - 2:00 amMy neighbor owns an Audi and a Mercedes. Took him for a ride - he thought this was a $35,000 car. Yeah, the interior isnt fancy, but after 9 years in a Ford Probe, Im not complaining. The ride is comfortable, handling is good, and plenty of acceleration for those beltway merges (you know where youre stuck behind someone going 45 and the lanes on either side are going 70).

Great car - 2003 Acura TL
By 2003 TL-S - March 25 - 2:00 amThe TL is the best bargin in the near luxury segment - period. For around $31,000 you get performance, luxury, and style - all standard. No other car even comes close. The power (especially Type S) is instant, the car is definitely fun to drive, and there are numerous features to pamper the driver and passenger. My only complaint is the ongoing transmission issue with 2000 - early 2003 TLs. Acura only extended the warranty on the transmissions, which have been known to fail at 70 mph, rather than issue a recall and just fix them. Other than that, you cant go wrong with a TL.
