  I never thought I would own an Acura. I planned on buying a BMW, an Audi, or a stripped down Mercedes. But the test drive is what won me over. That plus it has so many more features I wouldnt have been able to afford in the other manufactures. Doesnt drive like a front wheel drive car. Only advice, get the nav system if you have the dough and wait for the new 6-speed manual to come out.

  Replaced a 98 BMW 528 with a new TL- Type S and looked at Lexus, and Infiniti. Couldnt find anything comparable that offered similar performance, value and reliability. German cars have the edge with suspension, braking and A/C, but didnt receive the benefits associated with the maintenance costs.

  Still drive my 90 legend and performs well. Thought I would upgrade for an 03 TL, what a mistake. We have put 10k on the car sense purchase and its been in the shop four times and they still cant fix it. Cruise goes off with the slightest bump in the road. Dealer adjusted brake pedal and car locked up all four wheels and had to be towed three different times. Seat heaters very minimally if at all. Trying like the dickens to get rid of it. Cant depend on it to take the family on a trip, so it just sits in my garage... Bose Stereo sounds a bit better than AM

  Overpriced HONDA - 2003 Acura TL

  This car is a pony in a horserace. The advertised 260hp does not appear unless you floor the gas pedel. There is little or no torque, actually my mothers camry has more bottem end in normal driving. The ride is very rough an unrefined causing just about everything to rattle. The interior is cheap and is a carryover from a $16K Honda Accord with splashes of leather. DONT buy it...get the loaded Honda Accord if you are in this market.

  The 03 type S is like no other car. Comfort, Speed and handling is the cars strong points. I have to say the speed is the most excited thing about this car. 0-60 in the low 6s, is fast. I also love the sports shift. I recommend this car to my brother and he bought one. Test drive one and you will own it.

  Horrible Car - 2003 Acura TL

  All about Acura is total hype. Terrible car inside & out Seat is hard on back during trips. Just found out about transmission recall when it malfunctioned. Acura didnt contact me (Im at same address as when purchased) found out by researching NHTSA when tranny broke. NHTSA says this car (& other Acura models 2001 - 2003) may lock up & result in a crash. Experience w/Acura has been a rude awakening. Service in past has also been sub-standard. No more Acuras or Hondas for me. Worst performance of a new vehicle ever. No wonder it is priced well below competition -- it cant compete in its class.

  I made the switch from an SUV to the Acura TL and have found the vehicle quite enjoyable. The quality is excellent, paint & finish is flawless. The ride is very good and I am impressed with the performance and overall comfort.

  Buy something German for the same Money - 2003 Acura TL

  This 2003 ACURA TL-S has the road handling of a fat lady on ice skates and the stopping power of a fully loaded school bus. Who’s idea was it to put 260 HP on a Honda Accord? The car is truly dangerous! I feel like IM in an un-guided rocket. After coming from the BMW family, the Acura TL-S is quite disappointing. I wish I didnt drive this car everyday! Only 2 more years left on the lease and IM counting down the days!

  Awesome - 2003 Acura TL

  This is an awesome vehicle. Loaded with a lot of features that would be options on other vehicles, you get a lot for the buck. The front seats are very comfortable, dont know about the rear seat, "havent had occupants"! Very powerful V6 engine, smooth ride even with the sport suspension. I think the passenger seat should have been 8 way powered like the drivers seat, I was disappointed when I tried to tilt the seat, only to find out it only goes backward/forward. The styling is "ok", I just hope Acura doesnt make any drastic changes to this car in the next couple of years.

  After driving several vehicles in this class, I chose the Acura TL. I have little doubt that its the best $30K car on the market. The standard list of features was everything that I was looking for as an option. The car feels solid, yet sporty and is very comfortable to drive. The 60-80 passing speed is awesome.
