Overview & Reviews
The TL has been completely redesigned for 2004. A 270-horsepower V6 is standard, and both a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission are available. The level of luxury inside the cabin is up, and driving dynamics are better than ever.
- Luxurious interior, long list of standard equipment, powerful V6 engine, slick-shifting six-speed manual, pleasant blend of ride comfort and fun.

Love it - 2004 Acura TL
By toflo - June 9 - 2:00 amIts been two months and I love this car. Im clearly not a true autosnob since the only difference between this car and the RWD vehicles I looked at (Infiniti G35, Cadillac CTS, BMW) is that this car is simply better. Its comfortable, drives well and has the best stereo anywhere. I love XM radio and all cars should have a bluetooth connection for cell phones. My only gripe is that the headlights should be fully automatic.

Impressive Vehicle - 2004 Acura TL
By roxie - June 2 - 2:00 amAs a former BMW and Audi owner, those cars were at the top of my shopping list until I drove the TL. I also drove the Infiniti G35. For the money, the 04 TL is certainly superior to the BMW 5-series and both the Audi A4 and A6 and while the TL is comparably priced with the G35, the TL is a much better car than the G35, especially when comparing build quality. I cant imagine a better car in this price range anywhere. The power, style, workmanship and reliability are all equal to or superior than most higher priced competitors. It is indeed a head turner.

One Awesome Vehicle! - 2004 Acura TL
By Dennis Reed - May 28 - 10:00 amYou need only drive this car to love it, the 270hp V-6 is very responsive and the handling is excellent. I am a previous owner of Nissan Maximas (91, 96 and 01) and this car blew them away as well as blowing away the 04 Maxima! Im getting around 23mpg in the city going back and forth to work, this along with the comfort and luxury of the vehicle make it the perfect choice.

Acura TL review - 2004 Acura TL
By Don B - May 28 - 10:00 amA very enjoyable ownership experience. Handles well (besides the torque steer). Very fast. Killer stereo.

First Front wheel drive - 2004 Acura TL
By Cato 727 - May 28 - 10:00 amHave had Pors. BMWs, Merc. and last was 1993 Q 45. Mild torque steer under hard acceleration and slightly heavier feel in the steering than the other, but considering this car is many thousands less than the newer versions of what I had been driving, it is an unbelievable value.

all around athlete - 2004 Acura TL
By ravens - May 23 - 10:00 amThis car performs so well in so many areas--speed, braking, handling, comfort plus has all amenities of cars 20k more. The gearing is quick and smooth; above 4k rpm car gets a mean personality. There are gripes though: mileage (21mpg) is disappointing; minimal low end torque; xm satellite instead of sirius. But overall best car that I have owned.

Acuras Real Deal - 2004 Acura TL
By Yummer1 - May 21 - 1:52 pmA car that handles well in all weather and looks great doing it, the TL by Acura is also a real deal. With amenities previously found on cars $5,000 higher, the TL combines a sporty look and feel with ample luxury.

Cruises best at 80mph - 2004 Acura TL
By Stephen Campbell - May 3 - 6:01 pmThe TL is an excellent performing vehicle with comfort supported by quick handling. I get 29-30MPG on the highway at about 80mph, which is its optimal cruising speed. Bluetooth hands free phone system is also great, except when calling out utilizing the internal phone pedals. Voice activation is not as good as one would expect from an Acura.
