After a three-year absence, the performance-oriented "Type-S" trim level returns. It features a 286-horsepower, 3.5-liter version of Acura's SOHC 32-valve VTEC-equipped V6, a sport-tuned suspension and Brembo high-performance front and rear disc brakes. The Type-S also gets a unique front fascia, quad tailpipes, specific 17-inch wheels and paddle shifters for the five-speed automatic transmission when that option is ordered. The regular TL continues forward with freshened exterior styling and a revised center stack and instrument panel. However the six-speed manual transmission and Brembo brakes are now restricted solely to the Type-S model.
- Roomy and well-appointed interior, excellent handling for a relatively large front-drive sedan, sweet-natured V6 engines matched to outstanding transmissions, fantastic sound system, top crash-test scores.
- Front-drive handling limitations are apparent when the car is driven aggressively, lack of low-end torque in some situations.

My Second TL - 2007 Acura TL
By rsreeni - June 16 - 8:00 pmI used to drive a 2000 TL which got totalled recently as a truck hit me and rolled over the car. I walked off with not even a scratch. I went and got an 07 TL. Even though overall I like the car I still think the acceleration is sluggish, especially when I am going thorugh heavy traffic & signals. I can visibly feel very well the shifting of gears & really wish it was smoother. Other than this I like my car, all the faciliies are wonderful especially the Handsfree link and the MP3 player.

Best Car On The Market - 2007 Acura TL
By Fozzyfoe - March 21 - 7:00 amI traded in my Accord and S2000 for a car that combines the best elements from each car into one. It has power, quickness, great handling, great brakes, great looks, and more features than any other car! I am hooked for a long time with Acura now and will never turn back. I hope to see the SH-AWD in 09 and will trade up to that. Also, I hear that even more power is coming!

Smooth performer - 2007 Acura TL
By patrick - January 28 - 10:33 pmGreat car for a daily commute. Plenty of toys and a wonderful sound system. Comfortable seats, voice command everything, silky 3.5L V6. Definitely worth the price over a base TL. Brembo brakes are also powerful and firm. 1,000 problem free miles so far in just 2 weeks. Just keep on improving it Acura!
