Other than a new tire-pressure monitor and altered engine management (for reduced torque steer), the Acura TL is mechanically unchanged for 2006. As with all 2006 Acura cars, there is a longer powertrain warranty for the TL. It now provides six years/70,000 miles of protection. New SAE testing procedures have dropped the TL's horsepower rating from 270 to 258.

  Nice Car, Good Package - 2006 Acura TL

  Ive had my Acura TL w/NAV a few weeks now. It drives extremly quiet and smooth like a Cadillac. I genuinly dont want to get out of the car! I am a bit dissapointed with the fuel economy (thus far). I am getting around 20mpg city, 28 highway per the TL computer. However, I am just below a half tank now with 150 miles. Something doesnt compute?? I use premium unleaded 93 octane. I dont drive on the highway to work only city roads, this may be why? but I would have liked better. The Nav system is the best! I like that it turns off automatically if I dont need it. Other than the poor fuel economy, the fit & finish, ride, the luxurious features for what I got, everything about the car I love!

  I purchased an Acura TL after owning a BMW 325. I was sure i was going to get another BMW but from the start of test driving the Acura TL I was sold. The TLs attention to interior detail is great it has metal and carbon fiber accents. The navigation has a touch screen and the car has interior blue lights. The drive is second to none when the TLs VTEC kicks in you better be holding on, it takes you to 160 mph with out hesitation, thats right I said 160 mph.If you want to own a winner buy an Acura TL, you wont regret your investment.

  I debated long and hard about the purchase of this car. I drove trucks for years, and decided because of the jump in my annual mileage for work that i would buy a comfortable car. I chose the TL because of its price, reliability ratings, performance with economy, style, and comfort. All things have held up to their end of the bargain. I have had the car for almost four months and a little over 12k miles. It has been truly the best car i have ever owned. The only thing i have had an issue with was a rattle in the passenger door that has yet to be resolved.

  The TL is a superbe combination of quality, performance, design and value. Ride and handling are top notch and with front wheel drive, dreaded oversteer in spirited driving is not a concern. In addition to the high dynamic performance the TLs voice controlled navigation, entertainment and climate control systems are a joy to use. High quality materials abound in the comfortable cabin.

  Six months later I still love this car. For a 3.2 the car has ample power and maneuvering is perfect. Turning radius and steering are very good. The navigation in this vehicle is the best Ive seen on the market. Entering new addresses needs to be made easier, but it is not a big deal. The interior is laid out perfectly and I really like the blue backlit dash. The seats are firm but comfortable. Mechanically the car is perfect. You can tell the Acura is a quality build. I switched to Acura from two prevous Nissan Maximas. Qualitywise the Acura is far better than the Nissan. I believe the Acura is in need of a few new features which I have outlined below.

  I was looking for a nice plush car. I test drove a 07 Camry, 06 TL and 06 Accord. The TL won me over due to appearances. At first I had some trouble with rattling in glovebox, but it turned out to be two loose screws, probably from the dealership when they installed music link for iPod.

  I looked at the Lexus IS 250, Infiniti G35x and then there was the TL... better power and styling at the lowest price out of the three.

  This is the second Acura I drive. First one was a small Acura 1.6 TL sold only in Canada. I am impressed with the quality of this Acura TL and the features it has for this price compared with other models. The car is a blast to drive and the quality of interior is excellent. It looks very nice from exterior. I found the sound from the audio system great and I can barely wait to purchase and try the first DVD-audio. I played only regular CDs so far. I found both manual/automatic shift as a plus and handy for people in love with manual transmission. I dont have too many complaints so far. I drove this car for less than a month only.

  Great electronics for hands-free operation and control of vehicle. 29 MPG on trip. 22 MPG in city. Engine is a beauty. Nice tradeoff between performance and economy.

  Traded an 03 TSX for a Toyota Avalon since I needed a bigger car for my growing family. Huge mistake. Should have got the TL like I originally planned. Got my TL yesterday and it is everything I liked about the TSX only better. Tight handling, great interior, plenty of power.
