Other than a new tire-pressure monitor and altered engine management (for reduced torque steer), the Acura TL is mechanically unchanged for 2006. As with all 2006 Acura cars, there is a longer powertrain warranty for the TL. It now provides six years/70,000 miles of protection. New SAE testing procedures have dropped the TL's horsepower rating from 270 to 258.

The best car in its class - 2006 Acura TL
By Gautam Gupta - July 24 - 3:03 pmI have driven this TL for aprox 400 miles so far and all of it has been total fun. I always look forward to get into this beauty. Electronic systems are incredible. No other car in this class matches its features or ride comfort. Total value for money. Milage is great. My family just loves this peice of Enginuty.

Exciting to Drive - Stress Free Fun - 2006 Acura TL
By Darren L - July 24 - 4:20 amWhat I wanted was a sporty car. I needed SOME utility, not just a two seater with loads of power. I also wanted to have some quality and a few bells and whistles. Boy does this car deliver! It looks regal with a touch of attitude. Step inside it and the leather brings a smile to my face. There is plenty of room without feeling crammed, and it isnt huge. Suspension is somewhat tight, but not stiff allowing a comfortable suspension ride and perform well on fast cornering or take offs if I choose. The stereo system is sweet and I love the steering controls. Now the downsides - if you really call it that. Gas mileage isnt the greatest, and there is a learning curve on the navigation.

By loveTL - June 9 - 4:10 pmI boght my TL last month and I love it! Ive considered other luxary/sporty sedans but nothing came close to TL. You get so much for the money. NAV system with the handsfree link is great. I just moved to a different state and NAV system with voice activation came in really handy. It hasnt betrayed me so far and I use it every day. Sound system is very good as well.

Pure Joy - 2006 Acura TL

The handling is responsive, cornering is almost too easy, and the "get-up-and-go" factor is there when you want it. The leather interior is quality all the way around. The car is perfect for a midsized family of four. It has the feel of a two seater, yet room in the back for 2 passengers, 3 if you really need it.

By S Denis - May 29 - 12:00 amI test drove many cars in this class and I can honestly say that this is the one that I kept coming back to see again. There is a bit of torque in the steering but I am very impressed with the fit and finish and the options that are standard on this car. This is my first ever Acura and I think that they will have me as a customer for a while. I havent heard any rattles that I have read about so I hope that means that I lucked out. I love the Bluetooth and Voice Activate Nav which I use all the time. I wish you could update information in the Nav system (i.e. when it doesnt know a street name). I also have wrinkles appearing in the leather already at 3000K miles. All in all I love it

By Rob - May 7 - 9:55 amFolks Ive owned just about every type of import on the market, and Im here to tell ya that there is no better value than the Acura TL. Im one of the few people left who still prefers a clutch pedal, and Acura is more than willing to cater to me! Buying the stick doesnt make the car less expensive, but Acura hooks you up with Brembo 4 Piston brakes up front with pretty black calipers that read "Acura." DOES NOT perform like a BMW, DOES NOT ride like a Lexus, interior IS NOT as nice as an Audi, but come on, I paid $31k for this thing! Really should be rear wheel drive, then I think it could take a 3 series. Torque steer isnt bad, you get a better diff and reprogrammed software with the 6M!

Awesome TL - 2006 Acura TL
By Chip - May 4 - 11:24 pmIve had my TL for a little over a year now. I love this car. Ive only owned Acuras, so Im a little biased. My last car was a Legend, so Im used to Acuras quality. Love the sound system, navigation, and HID headlights. I also got the A Spec package (best decision Ive made), I get looks all the time at the 18 inch rims. Was thinking about Nissan Maxima, Infiniti G35, and Mercedes C350. Decided on Acura which was the best decision. Plus the reliability has been outstanding. Never in the shop except for one service at 12000 miles (I use synthetic oil).

Best in Class for $ - 2006 Acura TL
By Mercedes Salesman - April 30 - 11:16 pmI am a salesman at a Mercedes, Lexus, Jaguar, Porsche and Acura dealer. I have plenty of seat time in these cars and can offer some objective opinion on this car. The first thing is, NO CAR IS PERFECT. But, this thing comes pretty darn close. If you want to spend $80K+ on a sedan, you can get some amazing vehicles. But for the mid- $30s range, your in a compromising class. Your at the bottom of the elite or the top of frugile and economical. When you look at the TL in that light, hands down, there is no car close to what it offers. The Mercedes C230 Sport looks pretty cocky but is slower, smaller and less equipped. The IS 250 is the same way but a little more equipment than the MBZ.
