This Year's Model Updates:

Other than a new color, Redondo Red Pearl, there are no changes to the RSX in its sophomore year. Available from the dealer, however, is a new "Factory Performance" package that adds high-performance suspension components, better brakes, larger wheels and tires and a body kit.

Pros:
  • High-revving Type-S engine, plenty of standard equipment, nimble handling.
Cons:
  • Modest torque output, tight rear-seat headroom.

  • Acura is accurate - 2003 Acura RSX

I owned a Honda civic which I loved, especially the gas mileage. after an accident, i decided to purchase a "03 Acura RSX that was traded into my dealership. I save some money buying used, and so far, no regrets. This car is fun to drive, fun to look at, and fun to personalize. This is my first Acura, and Ive owned 2 Hondas. I definetly recommend this car. The only downside is the fuel economy. Not the best, I average about 250 miles to a full tank using supreme. I think my tank is 11 gallons, and even though i drive fast at times, the gas goes quick.

I looked at a number of cars in this class. Part way through my search I was sure Id go with the Celica, but I changed my mind after seeing and driving the RSX. I went back to drive the Celica again, and although I have nothing bad to say about it, I saved about $2000 on the RSX and got ABS, side airbags, and a car that has done the best in its class whenever it is reviewed. The best for less -- cant beat that!

  • The Type-S Is Worth The Upgrade - 2003 Acura RSX

Ive recently purchased the Acura RSX- S. The car handles like a $40,000 plus vehicle with a much lighter sticker price! For the price, you CAN NOT beat the RSX-S. The six speed manual transmission allows for complete control of your driving experience. With the short throw, the transmission handles like the more expensive European cars. I also like the fact that this vehicle is wholly manufactured in JAPAN. Only the NSX and RSX are actually manufactured in JAPAN. If you are looking for a car that performs like a million bucks but doesnt cost it, than the RSX-S is for you. Be certain to upgrade to the S- Type. For the money, it is well worth it!

  • I Made A Mistake - 2003 Acura RSX

I thought I had bought a very good performance car for a nice price, but about 3 weeks after I bought the Type S my buddy bought a Subaru WRX and he let me drive it. I have not been able to enjoy my car since. Ugh! The WRX is so much quicker, so much more fun to drive, and its AWD. And its the same price! Also, he had the wagon model WRX and you can haul a ton of stuff in it, as well as haul a$$. Dont get me wrong, I still "like" my car, and the interior of the acura is better than WRX. But ultimately Id give up the leather seats, for the extra horsepower, quickness, and safety features and comfort of the AWD.

  • RSX-S Quality for the Money - 2003 Acura RSX

The RSX-S is a fine sporty car for under 25k. It looks right; it also performs beautifully. The 200-hp engine and six-speed transmission perform flawlessly. Acceleration and braking are excellent. It hugs curves, and the suspension handles rough surfaces well. Controls are sophisticated and well placed. For its class and price, the RSX is a real winner.

  • Hook It Up and Race It. - 2003 Acura RSX

This car is a fun, quick car to drive. The response and handling make it a prime racing car. driving a 2002 Celica GTS and a Mitsubishi Eclipse would drive this car over both of those.

  • Nice, but youll want more - 2003 Acura RSX
    By -

I wanted a sporty 2-door and the RSX was the nicest. It beat the Celica, the Civic Si, the Tiburon, etc. You get Honda reliability. You get great milage. But after a year, the car rattles like crazy and I wish that I had more power and more smoothness. Save up and get the Infinity G35 and youll be happier in the long run. Youll soon outgrow the 2-doors and wish for more space if this is your only car.

  • Great car - 2003 Acura RSX

Its too bad the fun to drive scale only goes to 10. This car is a blast.
