Overview & Reviews
For 2005, the RSX receives a number of changes. Horsepower for the Type-S is bumped up to 210, thanks to new high-performance camshafts, a larger intake duct, large diameter exhaust pipe and a high-flow catalytic converter. The six-speed transmission on the Type-S gets a lower final drive ratio and carbon synchronizers (instead of brass) on fifth and sixth gears for a smoother shift feel. Suspension upgrades on all models include a 7mm lower ride height, revised stabilizer bars and inversely wound springs. The steering and braking systems have been refined for better feel and response, and the Type-S gets a larger diameter front strut tower brace and 17-inch wheels. Front and rear fascias have also been redesigned, along with the side sills, grille, headlamps and taillamps. The Type-S gets a rear spoiler, as well. Inside, you'll find new deeply bolstered seats with thicker cushioning and new trim accents. Overall body rigidity has increased by 15 percent in front and 21 percent in the rear.
- High-revving Type-S engine, nimble handling, sharp steering, clean interior design, plenty of standard equipment.
- Modest torque output, tight rear-seat headroom, forgettable exterior design.

No Regrets Here... - 2005 Acura RSX
By thatslife4ya - November 10 - 12:43 pmIve had this car for nearly a month now and still get a childish grin everytime I get behind the wheel. Everything in this car is seemless, from the interior ergonomics to the powertrain. With gas prices being what they are now, its nice to see 30+ miles to the gallon on the highway. The regeared 6-speed tranny and the 10 extra horsepower make for a very spirited ride. Ive looked down at the speedo more than once and found myself going 90mph, so definitely use the cruise control whenever possible. My only complaint with this car at all is the styling. Acura could definitely go a little more aggressive in that department. Nothing a few aftermarket body parts wont fix. Buy it.

My Baby - 2005 Acura RSX
By AshleeM - November 3 - 10:00 amI absolutly love my Acura RSX-S. I originally wanted a Ford Mustang GT but I went with the Acura and I am so happy I did. I kind of wish they had the 3 new colors for the 2002 model but they dont so I may be trading mine in for a 2005.

solid no comments. - 2005 Acura RSX
By myung12 - February 14 - 10:00 amFor the price, Its well worth it. very nice solid design, and quality inside and out is almost perfect. but it could be little nice if it was power setting and heating with fog light is not a option to buy. about 3 to 4 hour driving is little uncomfortible. This is very nice performence car with out no fog light, come on !

Good Things Come with Time - 2005 Acura RSX
By EIS - March 3 - 10:00 amThis is the first Acura Ive owned since my 1990 Integra coupe. I considered buying the RSX when it first came out but I was indifferent with its corky exterior styling. When I saw the 05 I knew I had to buy one. I think Acura did a stellar job at keeping this car unique yet giving it design cues from Integras of past. The quality of leather and overall interior feel has greatly improved; it feels more like an Acura now. If anyone is contemplating over a 04 and 05 definitely go with the 05, youll thank yourself later.

go vtec - 2005 Acura RSX
By techfun - February 7 - 10:00 amI just picked up my 05 RSX type S. This car has some new features that greatly improve the vehicle over the 04 model. The new headlights and tail lights look much sharper, and the lowered body adds not only cosmetically, but aids tremendously in the handling department. New for 05 are 17" 5 spoke wheels that look outstanding. They have also added a larger exhaust tip, which sounds like a formula 1 vehicle. So much fun to drive revving the vtec up over 8k. Im a previous Civic SI owner, which was stolen, and wanted to step up to the next level. This car does not disappoint.
