Overview & Reviews
The Acura MDX is a midsize luxury SUV with a carlike unibody platform and three rows of seats. The original MDX bowed in 2001, at a time when most competitors still featured body-on-frame construction and the term "crossover" was but a glimmer in some marketer's eye. Since then, Acura has maintained the MDX's family-friendly packaging, including standard seven-passenger seating, while spicing up the recipe with various styling, performance and handling enhancements. In typical Acura fashion, every MDX comes well equipped, with options generally limited to a few choice features bundled into packages.
New or used, the Acura MDX stands out for its comfort, versatility and refinement. It's one of our top recommendations for a family-oriented luxury crossover SUV. In reviews, we've found the MDX to be a polished performer, as it remains one of the more engaging luxury crossovers to drive and also provides a commendably supple ride. Weak points include cramped third-row accommodations for adults and less sumptuous interior appointments than in some rivals, though the MDX's strong resale value offers ample compensation.

I looked for safety and comfort - 2004 Acura MDX
By bengt - July 21 - 2:00 amSafety was the pime component as I shopped for a new SUV. The MDX has the safety features I was looking for. I was also looking for comfort, style and a navigation system. I looked at other brands, but the MDX was the one which met my needs. Other luxury brands in this size car didnt offer the third seat; they also had smaller cargo areas. The navigation system is a fantastic addition; the rear camera used when the car is in reverse, is also a great feature. I love the car!

I love my Acura MDX - 2004 Acura MDX
By Kadepp - July 21 - 2:00 amI LOVE MY CAR! I drive 1.5 hours to work and again back home -- at the end of the day I am disappointed when it is time to pull into the garage because the ride has been so great and I am not dog tired from sitting in the drivers seat until 7 pm.

2007 MDX a big winner - 2007 Acura MDX
By zorro - July 20 - 4:36 amGreat vehicle! Comfortable and sporty ride, easy and very responsive handling (SH-AWD and ADS), very safe feeling vehicle, very good engine power, great Acura ELS Surround sound system (DVD-audio, Dolby prologic II, 10 speakers), very good speech recognition for Navigation, audio systems and Hands Freelink, front and second row seats are the most comfortable we have ridden in. A first class SUV all around with abundant storage and passenger room. Fuel economy on the sticker is very accurate.

Great SUV for sedan lovers - 2006 Acura MDX
By xprepairpro.com - July 14 - 9:21 pmI wasnt wanting an SUV, I was really wanting a TL or an RL but room (2 kids now) means the 03 accord wouldnt cut it and the TL/RLs dont have much more room. I have never owned an SUV but have driven a lot at an old job. I didnt like the truck feeling of most SUVs so I didnt think the MDX would be so "car-like". I was quite surprised when I test drove it at the dealer. It had a lot of power and steering was very much like a normal car. I wasnt as attracted to the MDX so much for style. I like it very much, but still have my doubts about the front end. Hearing such good reviews and safety and reliability reports, I drove the MDX off the lot the day I test drove it.
