The Acura MDX is a midsize luxury SUV with a carlike unibody platform and three rows of seats. The original MDX bowed in 2001, at a time when most competitors still featured body-on-frame construction and the term "crossover" was but a glimmer in some marketer's eye. Since then, Acura has maintained the MDX's family-friendly packaging, including standard seven-passenger seating, while spicing up the recipe with various styling, performance and handling enhancements.   The wait was long (3 months) but well worth it.Visibility is excellant. No blind spots. Handling is supurb. Body lean is minimal as is nosedive when braking. The power is awesome. 240 HP 245ft-lbs @3000 rpm. 80mph @ around 2000rpm.0 to 60 in 8 seconds not bad for something that weighs 4300lbs. 16- 17 mpg city driving! This is the SUV to copy and manufacturers are. The upcoming Volvo XC-90, The Porche Cayenne. The Honda Pilot. Improvements can be made and Im sure theyre working on it. Quaility is what you would expect from a luxury vehicle especially when the build only 40,000 units a year. The automotive industry is finally getting interesting again after years of stagnating.

  Smaller and nimbler than a minivan but with third row has more flexibility than most crossovers. And some nice luxury and safety extras. A little sluggish in first gear but other than that a great car.

  I have had the car for a month now. I must admit this is more of a great crossover SUV than I expected. The base model has all the things you need for your life. I got 17.4 miles per gallon in city drive. Not bad at all.

  We love the interior space. We took 6 people and 6 pieces of luggage and 6 carry-ons to the airport with no problem. This SUV is fun to drive. It will give you a confident feeling in the rain, snow, and ice. After comparing price, interior layout, and comfort to drive we couldnt find a better SUV.

  I am very, very pleased with my MDX. It handles like a car and has great power. I love the room that it has for my family and the interior is squite comfortable. The third seat is a major plus that comes standard with this vehicle. I have also been pleased with the gas mileage that I get with my MDX.

  While only owning the MDX for a week, I am already in love with this vehicle. It handles very well, is comfortable (I took a 1000 mile trip this weekend) and gets good mileage for a vehicle its size. i would recommend it to anyone.

  Great ride; rides like a comfy car and handles well also. Gas mileage is lower than expected but that will hopefully get better as the engine break-in period elapses.

  Ive never driven a Suv such as this that has the ride and handling of a luxury automobile. The changes made from 2002 to 2003 shows how concerned Acura is with regard to reacting to the concerns of its clients.

  MDX is extremly fun to drive with a great engine. Safety is excellent for large family. Most other suvs dont offer the 7 seats. The integrated dvd is very sharp and fits the interior without looking like it was a add on. We got it for $1500 under MSRP without any haggleing. Dealership is the best in Atlanta. Break in MPG is a little low, but expect it to get better. Wish the seats were 100% leather, but expect the vinyl to last longer.

  If you think a Honda product was soilid the Acura MDX is even better. It feels as if you are driving a car not an suv. It is just the right size, not like the yacht sized suvs nor like the micro suvs. The ride hight is perfect, my wife has no problem getting in and out.
