Overview & Reviews
The Acura MDX is a midsize luxury SUV with a carlike unibody platform and three rows of seats. The original MDX bowed in 2001, at a time when most competitors still featured body-on-frame construction and the term "crossover" was but a glimmer in some marketer's eye. Since then, Acura has maintained the MDX's family-friendly packaging, including standard seven-passenger seating, while spicing up the recipe with various styling, performance and handling enhancements. In typical Acura fashion, every MDX comes well equipped, with options generally limited to a few choice features bundled into packages.
New or used, the Acura MDX stands out for its comfort, versatility and refinement. It's one of our top recommendations for a family-oriented luxury crossover SUV. In reviews, we've found the MDX to be a polished performer, as it remains one of the more engaging luxury crossovers to drive and also provides a commendably supple ride. Weak points include cramped third-row accommodations for adults and less sumptuous interior appointments than in some rivals, though the MDX's strong resale value offers ample compensation.

love it - 2003 Acura MDX
By samioliver - June 23 - 10:00 amLove it, love it, love it, and would buy it again! If you are in the market for a mini van (as I was), then this is another option for you that leaves you with a sporty vehicle - also with 7 seats (the two in the back are GREAT, but for kids only), and with an easy to drive vehicle (that turn radius is simply amazing). I only wished that the entertainment system had been available when I purchsed my MDX, but Im not sure I would have had the extra money to purchase it...

It is OK - 2004 Acura MDX
By Joanne Melanson - June 12 - 2:00 amDesign flaw in retractable front seat belts causes the belts to snap back too quickly and hit the door jamb. The result is small nicks on the door casing that will only get worse as the car ages. Tape over the area helps diminish this problem. Fuel economy is not good on local travel but ok on highway. Third seat is useless.

Quality SUV - 2004 Acura MDX
By acuraguy - June 5 - 2:00 amSolid performance and handling.Superb fit and finish with good attention to detail. Fake Interior woodgrain on the doors detracts from an attracitve package. Much more room than the Lexus 330, Caddy SRX and BMW. Better value than anything in the class.

Happy with decision - 2002 Acura MDX
By Comet - June 4 - 10:00 amI picked up the MDX on Monday and left for a trip on that Friday. Extremely pleased with feel, ride (smooth), the handling and I love the navigation system. My two children think it is great. Quite a few admiring looks on I- 10. So far I am very pleased.

07 MDX - 2007 Acura MDX
By rg - June 4 - 9:26 amUnbelievable value, the whole nine yards. Build quality, performance, tech features galore. ULEV to boot. I can picture driving this SUV for ten years, it will probably seem state of the art for the first five.

MDX is better than you think! - 2003 Acura MDX
By cbsimike - May 12 - 10:00 amTraded my 3.5RL for SUV. Looked at several but the MDX looked clean and different than most. The ride is more comfortable than my 3.5RL. Mileage clocks around 24 on highway. This car handles well and turns tight. Discount from dealer non-existant but the vehicle is worth every penny.

A Very Typical Acura - Great! - 2003 Acura MDX
By Tedd Slugg - May 6 - 10:00 amQuite simply it is the best value in a luxury SUV on the market. Big enough to haul lots of "stuff", but handles much like my ACURA RL. My wife loves the way it handles and does not have to climb in-and-out like many higher SUVs. Easily the best SUV we test drove - and we tried them all - and its sticker price is realitively low. Just cant beat the overall package.

LOKO MDX - 2002 Acura MDX
By lokoforever - April 22 - 10:00 amThe car has exceeded all of our expectations--its very attractive inside and out, its very comfortable on long trips, and it performs much better than any other SUV weve ever driven. The Acura Navigation System is well worth the money!!!
