Overview & Reviews
The Acura MDX is a midsize luxury SUV with a carlike unibody platform and three rows of seats. The original MDX bowed in 2001, at a time when most competitors still featured body-on-frame construction and the term "crossover" was but a glimmer in some marketer's eye. Since then, Acura has maintained the MDX's family-friendly packaging, including standard seven-passenger seating, while spicing up the recipe with various styling, performance and handling enhancements. In typical Acura fashion, every MDX comes well equipped, with options generally limited to a few choice features bundled into packages.
New or used, the Acura MDX stands out for its comfort, versatility and refinement. It's one of our top recommendations for a family-oriented luxury crossover SUV. In reviews, we've found the MDX to be a polished performer, as it remains one of the more engaging luxury crossovers to drive and also provides a commendably supple ride. Weak points include cramped third-row accommodations for adults and less sumptuous interior appointments than in some rivals, though the MDX's strong resale value offers ample compensation.

My new Best friend - 2003 Acura MDX
By Lord of the house - August 16 - 2:00 amBuying the 2003 MDX with the Rear entertainment system was not a total suprise for me. What was a suprise is the pleasure I get from it. It has more of everything I want. More room, more power and a great ride.

MDX is the best! - 2005 Acura MDX
By Massie - August 8 - 8:40 amMore than a year of research and finally decided to get the MDX. The 2005 model have almost everything I wanted in a vehicle, the voice controls, blue-tooth tech., navigation, DVD entertainment, power seats, memory, on-star, backing-up camera, rain- sensing wipers, 7-seats, AWD, blah blah blah... etc. It is worth every penny and the whole family loves this car so much.

Shifting issues. - 2016 Acura MDX
By Vincent Cerbo - August 4 - 8:20 pmIve only owned it for three weeks. The nine speed transmission has issues when shifting into second and third. Rough shifting from idle into first and second. Engine revs up then will often jump from first to third. Very pronounced action.

future lemon??? - 2003 Acura MDX
By KBarker - July 30 - 10:00 amsmooth engine and drive train. for the money it should have power lumbar seats. fuel economy on the sticker is a wishful dream!! taken back to dealer twice the first two weeks!! had to replace parts on the a/c due to loosing all the freon. they say thats a first for them. hope this is not a trend!! easy to drive and great turning radius. regret spending so much for an suv though. at least with a tahoe you know the milage is bad and more power!!

Great Value - 2004 Acura MDX
By mca_kirk - July 18 - 2:00 amIncomparable value; real competitors want $5-10 more; MANY standard features that are available only as options on competing vehicles.

Absolutely the best mid SUV available - 2007 Acura MDX
By Mr. Mike - June 28 - 10:40 amIm one of those people who research purchases to the point of exhaustion prior to making a decision. Additionally I test drove all similar vehicles. Nothing, and I mean nothing, compares with this vehicle for the price paid. Everything about this vehicle is top tier, fit and finish, performance, luxury, reliability and safety. I feel as if this vehicle is a bargin even at MSRP! Acura simply has produced a excellent automobile at a great price.
