The Acura MDX is a midsize luxury SUV with a carlike unibody platform and three rows of seats. The original MDX bowed in 2001, at a time when most competitors still featured body-on-frame construction and the term "crossover" was but a glimmer in some marketer's eye. Since then, Acura has maintained the MDX's family-friendly packaging, including standard seven-passenger seating, while spicing up the recipe with various styling, performance and handling enhancements.   This is one of if not the best car we have ever owned and that includes Mercedes. The navigator is a real joy on trips or just around the area. The quality is top notch and it is so very nice to drive. Gas mileage on trips has been 24 mpg and around town around 20. The acceleration is a little slower than some cars such as entering the freeway but in all other respects this is just the best of the best!

  Rough shifting from idle into first and second. Jerky shifting at low speed if you do not accelerate uniformly. Not worth the $50K+ price.

  This is the ultimate family car! It is fun for me and it is a huge hit with kids! There are so many standard features that are wonderful. It is an SUV that has an unbelievable smooth ride. It is pure luxury!

  Overall handling/comfort is great. Rear (3rd row) seat is more for kids or cargo and not made for adults. Highway accelaration noise is a bit excessive and annoying, just boost up the dynamite sound system to drown it out.

  Please reduce the exhaust noise - 2004 Acura MDX

  Before buying my 2004 MDX, I took a test-drive in Mercedes ML350 and Volvo XC90, and I liked the MDX much better then either of them. I like the MDXs acceleration and power, as well as luxury features, like the navigation system and rear-view camera. What I do not like, is a low-pitch noise coming from either muffler, or some other part of the exhaust system at around 2000 rpms, or at about 70-72 mi/h. If you keep the car running at that speed for a while, the noise becomes very annoying.

  I Love my Acura MDX..Everything about it is great but not the Fuel..I am putting a half of tank every 3 days..But I do understand that all SUVs like Trucks are gas consumers..More since I traded in my Acura RL for this..I love that car too but we wanted more room and to feel more safer on the road..so we had ordered the Acura MDX..Thank You

  Resisted at first but since it was the vehicle that my wife would be driving then it was pretty much her decision. And her decision was just that. Lets go buy the MDX. Now I am a convinced owner of all the quality and comfort Acura has to offer (which if you let my wife tell the story she already knew). It is by far the most superior vehicle we have owned.

  Wow, what can I say. Far most better than the competitors, wow. I do have to say that Acura has created the best in the SUV luxury class. The 07 MDX does drive so smooth and very fast that you feel like you are in an airplane, its unbelievable, its incredible. Buy it, you will keep it forever.
