Overview & Reviews
The Acura MDX is a midsize luxury SUV with a carlike unibody platform and three rows of seats. The original MDX bowed in 2001, at a time when most competitors still featured body-on-frame construction and the term "crossover" was but a glimmer in some marketer's eye. Since then, Acura has maintained the MDX's family-friendly packaging, including standard seven-passenger seating, while spicing up the recipe with various styling, performance and handling enhancements. In typical Acura fashion, every MDX comes well equipped, with options generally limited to a few choice features bundled into packages.
New or used, the Acura MDX stands out for its comfort, versatility and refinement. It's one of our top recommendations for a family-oriented luxury crossover SUV. In reviews, we've found the MDX to be a polished performer, as it remains one of the more engaging luxury crossovers to drive and also provides a commendably supple ride. Weak points include cramped third-row accommodations for adults and less sumptuous interior appointments than in some rivals, though the MDX's strong resale value offers ample compensation.

Best car I ever bought - 2004 Acura MDX
By gilljacr - July 10 - 2:00 amThe car is wonderful. Our only regret is not spending the extra money on the touring model. This car drives like a dream

Fix those brakes! - 2004 Acura MDX
By Bill San Diego - July 9 - 2:00 amWe love this car! Great flexibilty with the seats in the back and we dont have to worry about fitting into parking spaces like Yukon owners. Great engine and the sound system is great! The only complaint is the damn clicking in the brakes..what is the deal with that?!?! We didnt want to pay what U.S. dealers were charging so we bought it for less including shipping to our house in San Diego by buying it from a Canadian dealership. NO PROBLEMS and we get the daytime running lights.

Happy, so far. - 2004 Acura MDX
By robmac - July 2 - 2:00 amFun to drive, nav system is incredible (but slightly out-dated restaurant locations), Bose sound system is good, great acceleration (but feels slow), slight wind noise (but 200% better than my Integra), simple instrumentation, slightly wider than I would have liked (77"W is from door to door, not including mirrors), rear camera is awesome, smooth ride. What else can I say....so far, I really like it. I waited until the last day of June to buy. On the last day of the month, all Acura dealers dropped their prices to at least $500 over invoice. I paid invoice price, plus they threw-in a decor package.

AWESOME SUV (except for the locks) - 2004 Acura MDX
By Jevan - June 30 - 2:00 amEverything is the best with this suv, except for its door lock switch- it cheapens the vehicle a little.

Love my Red Rock MDX - 2004 Acura MDX
By cheri loyd - June 24 - 2:00 amOnly complaint? Its difficult to thoroughly clean front seat interior area around the "cracks"-near gear shift, cup holder and door panels. I am very pleased with gas mileage-I have gotten over 23MPG on the highway twice. Probably would have been 25 if I had kept it down to 55. LOVE MY ACURA!

My MDX - 2004 Acura MDX
By olie - June 23 - 2:00 amAbsolutely the best I have bought. I was originally going to purchase a BMW X5 but changed after driving the MDX. It has more features and creature comforts at no extra charge. I also was impressed with its handling ability at higher speeds.
